This is pretty controversial...like this could destroy the possibility of hitting certain rails ever again. I think people have to remember urban respect... I know you are wearing a bandana and big clothes, but just remember to be respectful to the people that own the property and if they tell you to leave go nicely... cause making a scene will only get it capped.

Also clean up after yourself, just break the lip down after you are done and through it to the side, clean up any garbage you might have left around all common sense stuff.

It is a really useful tool if you are doing an urban trip which I am doing, in Canada though, and I would love to find rails easily like this. It is a double edges sword though could see a lot of spots shut down cause of this.

I just sent a few rails of the DC suburb area. I didn't send anything too amazing, just some basic spots so anyone in the area can get started. Everyone should just follow this model, no need to post your secret spots, just the basic DFD's and such that can be found anywhere to help some people out.

Also, consider adding a simple page of basic urban etiquette. It is important, but some basic knowledge of how and why we must act respectfully can make a difference. It's not like its a massive community of snow people who are looking to hit urban, especially in the midwest and parts of the EC, so I don't think we need to worry that much about randoms showing up and blowing up our spot.

One more possibility would be to include the email of whoever submitted the spot as a kind of local representative, incase someone needs to borrow a drop in, or needs a guide. This would also ensure that the spots would be treated correctly and the contributors would get some respect.

if this shit is going to stay up, a mandatory reading of a guide and quiz should be taken to even enter the fucking site. at least a little bit of screening.

this is my concern. No hate to you Andy, but i hope it doesnt fuck up

local crews spots that they take care of. It would be nice to think that

newschoolers kids wont ruin this, but doesnt mean its not a searched

phrase on google. All these kids spots could get screwed by everyone,

not just skiers.

Yesterday alone I ran into 4 different snowboard crews here in the Twin

Citites, which amount to about 20 different ones on the season..so

far...thats fucking nuts. ha still hundreds of spots though and plenty

new to be discovered,

Hunt for your spots, thats the creativity in it...or atleast trust those you tell..

..maybe a better/spawn of your idea would be a password lock so that you

can give, share, and collect your information with people whom you

trust...I know your looking to make this for the good purposes.

it is... to bad we never get any snow... And at first i was so stoked to see detroit made it, then when i clicked on it i was disappointed.

wow this is a really cool, original idea. i love how the map comes up and an image is even provided for the points. the homepage organization could use some work though, especially as this takes off and alot more places are submitted. if this site could cover rail spots in cities around the country it would be sick, you could rely on submissions from users. you're gonna need some help though, you prob couldnt get it done by yourself. but yea +k for an awesome idea

that as well as this gives park districts/ cities a perfect place to find all the rails that they need to cap.
Worst site idea ever. Make the maps on google private and invite people to join that way if you want to make a list like that so that it isnt in the general publics view.

Ya at the begining of the season me and my friend got a map of Aspen and marked all of the rails jibs and wall rides. We also put them on a scale of schetchyness from 1-10. I think your website is a good idea and it just needs more city's/ towns.

they will do it, and have done it. Its one thing to have a private owner cap or skate stop a rail, but t have a city do it...that another story.

...urban etiquette.

and for the kid who asked about grave yard, dont be so pathetic, grow up and look else where.trust me that the last thing a family member want to see when they go some where to pay their RESPECTS. And for everyone who says it would be ok, i doubt you have done it.....

That kind of shit is what gives this a bad name...

I do agree with you about how it can be misused, but another thing i'm trying to do here is open up the ski scene here in Milwaukee, along with other places. It is huge in Minnesota, I'd love to see it grow here in Wisconsin also. So as far as the Milwaukee spots go, i want people to hit them. Id love to see some in movies or edits. And as far as kids messing up spots or rails getting closed down goes, I can see that happening. Although until I see that this site is a bad idea in reality (and not just in theory), i'm behind it.

Whatever you guys say the site is up and you can't do much about it. Just something to the creator of the site... if you are going to expand it I would take away with the baseball logo's and just put the cities. Cleaner look and for someone like me who doesn't know baseball at all kinda hard to know what city is which?

Are you going to add Canada?

im hoping by this weekend.
And to all those who are looking for a map in your area, help out by submitting some rails and youll see one

i am really torn about this. i travel a lot through out NE so whenever i settle down into a new area this site would be a great tool to find a spot quick. but i also agree with logan and a couple others. we can find spots easier, but so can anyone else. also, i do not want to relinquish my secret spots to the general public.

still just as stupid and shitty as day #1. don't put any of the fucking rails where i am form that i have found.

Are you on campus? I'm at OSU and have always been tempted by that down rail in the south oval, never gotten to it though.
