Final Cut Vs. Avid

Anybody used both - and the Avid i'm referring to is the Student Xpress pack. I'm going to upgrade soon from premiere and i'm trying to decide on what to get. I guess i'm mainly concerned with the color correction capabilities of the systems.

Avid=$400

Final Cut=$500

no it seems most use Avid, i just wanna know which has a better color corrector

I know Avid DV Express has a much better color corrector than Final Cut Pro. You should probaly ask this on a Avid forum to be sure.
