Final cut pro help!!(or that can help with .mov files)

whats up,

So i made a video, and its finnish and converted to quicktime so its in a .movthe .mov file is 3.58GB THATS HUGH! i cant do anything with it

how can i make it smaller (preferably under 500mb so i can put it on Vimeo)

I've tried to zip it but the .zip file only made it into a 3.56GB file. so i tried to figure this out for the past week and found out .mov files are already compressed, so when i ziped it, it didnt really do anything but make it so i have to extract it and bla bla blaa...

so what can i do!!??

i tried the NS uploader but it doesn't work either

check this tutorial out that i made a little while back. do everything that i talk about in handbrake, which is like the second half of it.
