Final Cut Express Help?

I just uploaded through FCE's log and transfer about 20 clips from my canon hf20now when i put them into the timeline it has a green line above instead of red and doesn't need to be rendered, which i find unusual because with my other cameras all the clips had to be rendered.alsowhen i watch the clip when it is in the timeline it has muchhhh worse quality than from watching it when it is just a clip by itself.any help would be appreciated

You still need to render, its call the preview render. Go to Sequence > Render All and then select all of the colors listed (bunch of different ones) then go apple + R and it will render you green lines and quality will be bomb.

Now, why you're getting green lines is odd, if your sequence settings are correct you shouldn't have to render at all...
