Just picked up a canon d5300 and a canon xl2 for this seasons film setup, what rig should I pick up for the d5300. Looking to get a 'stabilizer' for the d5300, maybe skate style with a c frame rig with a external mic, or I'll pick up a cheap weighted stabilizer but have heard mixed reviews on these rigs. Thanks!!

PVC square rig works great if you want skate style with a little shake, if you want real smooth grab a fake glidecam off amazon or eBay for 50 bucks. Mine works great, all aluminum and came with a bunch of weights

But ya, hand held mount, glidecam or gimbal will be your options probably depending on how much time / money you want to invest in your filming
