when im filming, its super bright out, so everything looks properly exposed because my eyes have adjusted to the light. however, when i look through my clips on the computer, they're all overexposed.
perhaps getting a lcd viewfinder may help your bring sunshine exposing problem? I just picked up one on amazon for 25$ and it isnt the best build/quality but it gets the job done and serves its purpose.
Magic lantern is a firmware hack. Basically what happens is you put it on your card, then install it onto your camera. It opens up a new world of functions that you would only find on dedicated video cameras. I would suggest using it. Just watch a walk through on how to install it and be careful. You won't regret it.
that looks really good. i noticed in the second video on the page the guy said to "clear the picture settings". would i be able to get those settings back if need be?
pretty sure the one I got is one that he describes as a "bad clone." however like I said, for 30$ shipped to my door it is more than worth the money. I used it today filming some cliff jumping and was very pleased with how it worked.
