Film School, where to go?

Im a junior lookin at colleges to go to majoring in some sort of film studies. i know I want to stay in the U.S. and i want an urban or suburban campus. a medium/large school. i am lookin at NYU, UCLA, USC, CU. but im not sure what schools to choose from. i have around a 3.6 waitin to take my SAT's but im expecting around 1150-1300. not really sure cause PSAT's arent too accurate i heard. anway any advice.

well do you want to be taught by george lucas and all his fellow Lucas Arts people? Then go to USC...

If you want a college where more people actually make it into film then go into NYU

If you want it warm and always good filming weather go to FSU...

if you want a cheaper but good school go to GVSU (Grand Valley State University) in Michigan

Emerson is a chill alternative to NYU as well. Thats where im at.

yea my counselor recommended Emerson to me today. it sounds like a nice place. but i think i'd prefer a larger school. i dunno, ill take a closer look at it. it is sorta in my grade range also. unlike NYU and UCLA which are both stretches. what are u majoring in?

media arts major, its like an interdisciplinary program. first semester was weak but now its starting to get pretty interesting. it was just because I know all the programs pretty well that we are 'learning' to use so that helps. even now I feel like I am pretty far ahead in classes and shit but I am sort of an edit whore...good place. I recommend checking it out although it is a bit pricey.
