What's the best way to do it and what's the best capturing/editing program to use?

I've got a nice broadcast quality 3CCD camera but I can't get the footage onto the computer in a way that it's really any good to do anything with. It's super nice on the camer and on the tv but I just can't import it nicely.

Anyone else have any ideas? How can you get it on in a nice format, how can you do it in widescreen like it is on the camera and what should I use to edit it with once it's on the PC?

Werd.

for editing you should look at the programs Final cut, adobe premier pro, or the one i prefer sony vegas HD

send your film off to a lab and have them put it on a disk... however, VIDEO editing is another thing.

make sure you use a firewire cord or if its an HD cam then get a firewire 800.

also, footage sometimes looks kinda sketch on a computer moniter, but once its on an analog display (tv) then it looks fine.
