Hey guys I just got back from a 2 year mission in Argentina, this is my first winter being back and Im stoked to be back on Newschoolers and snow. I think it would be cool if everyone could post some of the highlights of the past two years. Things I've missed like music edits, whats hot as far as quivers and gear. It will be fun to look back and see whats been going on! Thanks Looking forward to being back with the Newschoolers family!
 
SLVSH is somewhere fun to start. I think Matt Walker and Joss Christensen (?) started it, few video formats but one is game of SLVSH (skiing's version of skate) that took off and actually finished a bracket. Others are instabangers (instagram users calls out tricks to do)

from what i understand, on your mission you're supposed to be purely concentrated on the mission and cut off from the internet/family, so I would assume that OP wouldn't be able to regularly check NS
 
Well where to start. In the last two years I smoked an estimated 323 pack of cigs. 24 Bottles of Pendleton Whiskey. Tons of random ladies. 468 Beers. Tell me about you mission?

The Hood Crew has been killing it, Freed is skiing down stairs and shit without any snow.

The Bunch has been blowing up like crazy.

Two NS members made a series called "The Drop." They got shat on after voicing their opinions on The Bunch.

Mt Hood barely had any snow this summer, Tom wallisch started riding for line skis, the only trick left is lip blind 2

kilbride is a beast, but no sure where you heard fat-ypus went out of business. they are going strong, just dropped there 2016 skis

level 1 switched to location based segments.

Good Company was formed. it's a group of guys that do cool stuff

Fisheye edits are cool again (yessss)

Totally trevor made a movie

Nick Goepper made an edit that didn't make him look like a robot (it was actually really good)

Less and less snow for mt hood each year :(

East cost got DUMPED on last year

A snowboarder did a quad (we don't speak of that tho)

Olympics happened

War of rails got cancelled

bandannas aren't as cool to wear skiing anymore

Tom wallisch is on Boone skis now so you are going to want to pick some of those up because they are the best skis out there.

Ski big air was seen as too dangerous, and had since been replaced by ski ballet.

Haters gonna hate, but it's so much cooler in my opinion. Hopefully they're find something cooler than slopestyle in the next year or two
 
Also there's a big air event at Fenway Park in Boston coming up on February 11-12. It's gonna be sick, although people want to see someone come thru and wall ride the Green Monster.
