File Format for Itunes

So I have some edits that I made that I want too put on my Ipod, but whenever I add the video and try too upload it too my ipod, it always says it wont play on the ipod. Ive tried multiple formats, including the form that my movies are in. What form allows it too play on your ipod?

sorry bro, I was looking at some software to be able to burn itunes movies to DVDs and you have to remove a DMP? which I'm not exactly sure what that is, but it might have something to do with putting files on the ipod. This post doesn't really solve anything but at least it shows effort.

you have to encode it, get handbrake

Ok, I got handbrake. Sorry Im such a noob at this, but I stil dont get it.

put the MP4 file in your library, select it, click advanced > create iPod or iPhone version, and it creates a copy that works. Bingo

import the file you want, then choose output type as ipod
