Few questions about bindings - inserts, etc.

So after testing inserts (pullout strenght, etc) I'm more and more and more into binding inserts like QuiverKillers or BindingFreedom.

My question is - has anyone used inserts in park skis ? Does it work ?

I think I'm getting new skis next year(if I sell my current which are too stiff as for me) and wanted to inserts in them - having just one pair of bindings sounds great.

And second question - more reliable are Peak15s or Jesters ? Main problem is DIN - due to my injuries I have DIN in toe piece "cranked up" to 6/7 (heel piece - 9/10)and I wonder if there's point in using binding with DIN range 6-16.

Or maybe I should just leave my Peak12? They're a little worn but maybe they'll last one more season (they'll be used on two pairs of skis probably)

Hope somebody can help

you don't necessarily need a higher din binding for the dins you're riding at....only advantage of higher din binding would be their (usually) superior durability (more metal parts)
and why wouldn't you try inserts?
only reason would be that if a binding without inserts rips out you might be able to fix it with inserts, while a ripped insert cannot be remounted in the same spot ....get my point ?

Yeah, I get your point. That's what scares me about inserts - and the risk my tech will not mount their properly.

Durabilty is only reason for me to get higher DIN binding - Peak12s get worn after 2 seasons in park skis so I really wonder how plastic binding will work during using it in 2 pairs of skis all season long.

if you plan on getting inserts so you can swap bindings, only do so with quiverkillers, other inserts were not designed for regular mounting/unmounting...
+ if you plan on using 1 binding for multiple skis, consider something thats quality and spend the extra $$
i first understood that you just wanted inserts for improved rip-out strenght/durability

I'm also worried about inserts ripping out - on symmetrical ski (Domain) I will have no other place to mount them - symmetrical ski mounted -2 - for me it does not sound well.

Still don't know if I should just leave my Peaks and Jesters or sell them, buy for example Peak 15 and have extra $$ for skis and inserts.

hey, i have an unlimited code for quiverkiller.com. the code is for 15% off. it's "ATScrew" tell all of your friends. thanks a lot

If your skis are properly mounted the 1st time there should be no need for inserts.

I have mounted thousands of skis and had very few pullouts. A few from tele torqueage but thats to be expected

Jondrums binding freedom stuff and service is much better than the purderloader quiver killer he mooched the idea from Jondrums and then was a dick about it. IMO
