i heard there were a ton of problems with those with hacking and shit. i think it would be pretty cool though to have a friggen computer in your hand tho.
There was an iPhone update yesterday and tons of people on the apple forums said that Unlocked or bricked iPhones can't update, or it froze them completely. Apple does nothing about it, you are screwed.
Did you update it yet? Not trying to kill your thread, kids just need more info when spending this much on a phone.

Currently on 1.0.2 firmware, updating to 1.1.2 as soon as I get some time.
I use it in canada on Fido, I've used my rogers sim card on it as well, so it's fine with any GSM network.
They're going for $650 on ebay or craigslist, and at+t sells them for $400 with a 2 year plan....
I don't know how much the phone only, without a plan/contract, goes for in the states, so let me know that price, and I'll figure out a ballpark figure for you guys.

If you're unlocked and on 1.0.2 still, you'll have to at the very least virginize your phone totally before any updating, if you don't the update will brick your phone...and once you update the phone is no longer 'unlocked' because the firmware has changed and the entire baseband is different.
My advice is to not update just yet, because that's the only reason it's still unlocked at this point.
