Feeler: custom xbox

ok, so for those of you who dont know as a hobby i like to build custom computers, and i did a project a while back where i moded a xbox into a custom case. i put a lot of labor and time into this and its for sure a one off thing, ive never really herd of someone doing this like i did. its a standard xbox, nothing fancy, but yeah, what do you guys think its worth? ill have pictures in a little bit!
 
nothing m,ore than a std. xbox. the case is merly cosmetic. its like sayin if i paint my skis, are they worth an extra $50. now if you had modded it out with a harddrive and chip, then i would be worht a little more.
 
no, this would be like changing the whole way the ski looks to.

like i spent 30 or so hours on the project. ill get pictures. give me 5 minutes.

i might also add that im not necessicaraly looking to sell this here, i just am looking for a feeler on the price of it.

its a one off thing so i have no idea where i should be market wise. i will say there are about 75 bucks in parts added to it, not to mention the labor.
 
how is that not custom you retard?

especially because custom on ebay means the same case you got, just a different color.
 
yeah thats where I got it, looks really cool at night all lit up, mine is covered in jibij and other skiing stickers though haha

i really wish i could turn it into a 360.

i might turn the 360 i get when i sell this into something similar.
 
sweet dude, nice work on that thing, try ebay if your serious about selling it, or maybe you can post it on a gamer site i dunno
 
hmm since you can get a 360 for $300 someone will probably need to want it pretty bad to pay that much for a reg xbox, I'd start the price at $300 obo since it's custom. No idea what you will actually get out of it though.

 
if you put a mod chip in it it might be worth something but i just don't know what people will be willing to spend on 6 year old computer technology that looks cool. you can have a pentium 2 or something like that in an alienware case but it doesn't make it good. xbox these days are only going for $100 with a shit load of extras. so if you are planning on just sellin the xbox you'll probably be able to get 125-150 tops out of it to some enthusiast. i'm not tryin to be down on you. it looks amazing. there just isn't a market out there any more for xboxes
 
yeah, im just looking to get some money towards a 360 possibly. i would be selling it with 4 controllers, the dvd remote and a good amount of games.
