Also (after watching the edit), you've done too much editing, it looks like you've tried to add an effect to every clip, it makes it hard to follow the story of the edit (especially in the beginning), and then too much B&W in the end. Remember, just cause there's an effect doesn't mean you have to use it, when it comes to editing less is more (think about the really good editors on NS like eheath and blondie, they don't use a ton of effects, but when they do use them they make sense and stand out). What you want to focus on, especially in the beginning of editing, is beat matching (get your skiing to match up with the beat(s) of your music, whether it's a landing, a switch-up, tap, or something else, try and get it to match the beat of the music. Also, focus on storyline order, think of an edit as a short movie (cause that's what it is) you want a beginning or intro, a middle, climax, and an end...it's up to you what that means for your edit. Finally, don't use cheese texts and stuff like that, it takes away from the skiing, use simple text in a creative way so that they're not the focus.
Once you get a hold of the basic editing, then you can play with SOME effects...a blink or two every now and then, some time effects (slow-mo or speed-up), reversals, and color correction, but again, less is more...you don't need to use ALL of them all the time, just a bit every now and then.
