First of all, it will be 20k/20k 3L gore tex ( or better), something really waterproof. Oversize Hood, powder skirt, 1 chest pocket for ipod ( so you can take your ipod whitout oppening you jacket.), a little leach for the pass, 2 big pocket in the front whit fully taped seem zipper, a arm pocket like the saga, i dont want it too big, like 32'' zipper lenght. back vent ( diagonal). A bottle opener somewhere in the jacket, and more pocket.
20k/20k taller slimmer fit. 3 layer w/ inner layer being able to zipper out. taped seams. powder skirt. one big pocket on the left with a smaller on the right. under the jacket a pass holder so i can flip my pass out. big chest pocket outside for ipod/food storage. on the insdie i would want 2 breast pockets on each side. Big hood with a gater on the ziper by the mouth so it doesn't make my face raw
Some is said but its easier for me to name it all, sorry about that, but I have thought about this a several times.. Thoughts about starting a outerwear company have crossed my mind to many times.. Here in Europe there are no company's like Trew, Flylow, etc.. Lots of people that want quality jackets buy from mountainering/outdoor brands but they all have a short fit and no good pockets etc..
- 20k/20k 3Layer fabric with taped seams
- all pockets need good waterproof zippers with coverd ends
- fit is a bit longer (not idiot long) and slim so its good to wear with a backpack
- Big zipper air vents under the arms (how do you call that?), maybe extra zipper(s) on the back for venting but it shoud be usable/usefull while wearing a backpack..
- Outside pockets should be accesable while wearing a backpack..so placement is important..also big enough to put some skins in one (that pocket will need drainage) maybe one large pocket in the front and the zipper to the side like some Moment and Orage jackets have..
- pass pocket in arm (in europe you hold your pass against a detector and a gote will open)
- Chest pocket for ipod/phone
- powder skirt
- big hood
- NO magnets (fucks avy beacon signals)
- The part for your mouth should have a nice soft fabric that doesnt freeze up easy, but you should be able to get it off..
It's not that you cant receive or send any signals anymore with your beacon, but its does disturb the signals.. Not something you want in life threatening situations and you're trying to find your buddy or vise versa
one think i really like about my jacket is the magnets that hold the hood down so when you spin hard off a jump, you dont get the hood in your face causing you to freak out and die.
*good waterproof/breathability*waterproof zippers*decent seams, don't care if they're taped or not, i just want seams that hold and are waterproof...*zippered pockets should be closed when the zipper is down, not the other way around....*pow skirt*good fitting hood*soft zipper/closure in front of my chin/mouth*at least 1 big chest pocket thats easy accesible*zipper pocket for mp3*little earpiece loop near the wire opening for said pocket...*a bottle opener*a powder skirt*cuffs should be wide enough to easily fit gloves under it and should be closed with a wide and durable velcro strap*venting on the armpits and upper arms so you can get decent airflow around your arms ...*an inside pocket thats wide enough to hold goggles or a small bottle of water
*extras: removable sleeves for summer shredding might be a cool thing, but they shouldn't influence durability/waterproofing
some of theese things might not be very practical but who cares i think it would be kind cool to have some of these features in a jacket
-one with snack pocket like in (orage xaiver bertoni model), -one of those hydro pack water straw things like the ones in backpacks, -built in mittens that can zip off, -attachable like buttons that connect to the pants, -a pow skirt, -zip off sleeves, -pockets inside the jacket where you can slip in like hand warmers and things like that to heat your whole body, -pocket for ipod thats easily accessable and other cool shit like that
32" Jacket with more pockets than a coke dealer, built in iPod port and Macbook air pholster for on-lift editing, hobo gloves, Jiberish endorsement, built in iced out Rolex on the sleeve, gold plated zippers, candy pocket for shred snackin', built in ass guard for tailbone protection, removable sleeves so that it can convert to a vest, kitten fur lining, included epicpass and last but not least Tammy Whallushiz face on the back.
no and what he said isnt entirely true, some beacons are magnetically turned on and off so if u have magnets it will keep turning ur beacon on and off, magnetic force will not mess with ur signal unless ur beacon sends out magnetic signals which is unlikely
