FCP7 help (squished image [squat])

When editing, the canvas appears fine. I exported in HDV1080p25All clips were originally shot in 25p.

So when I export, basically the subject becomes squat and appears squished.

Also I am using fcp7 on a 13" MBP

I think its something to do with the settings but..

Help please?
 
Also check your pixel aspect ratio on export: make sure it matches your source footage. I'm unfamiliar with FCP7, but it is likely an option in there somewhere.
 
make sure clips match sequence settings, maybe change percent view lower so you can make sure its in the entire frame.and other than that try evans export advice
 
This is really important. My first edit in FCP I put the song in first, and i think somehow it matched the sequence settings to that, idk why it would do that. Now i always just drag a clip over and drop it in, and when the box pops up and asks to change sequence settings to match the clip settings, hit yes. You probably know that already, and it's probably not even the issue. The point is, export settings are a lot more trouble to mess around with, and it usually won't get you anywhere (from my experience). if the sequence settings are all ok, then just exporting with 'current settings' will be fine.
 
Okay thanks guys. Just checked and as I expected, the export settings were f*cked up big time. 272x173 or something.All fixed now.
