FCP trim operation help.

Sometimes when I try and adjust the speed of a clip to go faster it says it isn't allowed. That there was a conflict that occured during a trim operation. How do I fix this!?!?

I sorta fixed it. I had to move the clip at the end where there was no music audio then change the speed then move it to where I wanted. But that is pretty annoying. Any way to fix it so I don't have to do that?

that is really wierd. try googling the problem. Check your RT. I keep mine on unlimited until it says shut it off. Not sure if that is your issue. You may want to reset your settings too. that always helps me. FCP attic i believe is the program. Shit works wonders

Changing the speed of a clip while it's in the cut wont work, speeding up shortens it, and slowing down makes it longer, which affects the surrounding clips, so the error you get is just showing you that conflict. So press f to match back to that clip, and it appears in your viewer where you see your in/out points etc. Then hit command/apple+j which brings up the speed adjustment window. Adjust your speed, and drop it back in the timeline.
I think you can also hit F11 and it will overwrite the clip for you.
