FCE + 60fps

I am using a Mac with FCE and it won't import 720p 60fps GoPro footage. So is there any easy way to use the footage without losing frames or having to separate it into individual frames, or is Final Cut Studio the only easy option?

Secondly, any one have any luck using 'log and transfer' with the GoPro?
 
you will have to conform it in cinema tools to 30 fps or what ever time base you choose.
you also might have to convert the footage to a final cut friendly format.... i use proress
 
there is no way that you HAVE to change it to 30 frames per second.

it may sound stupid but did you try to capture with I movie? I usualy go to this when I have problems with my timecode or my tape is corupt. Unlike final cut, I movie ignores "errors" and just keeps capturing as a dv stream. I am sure it will ignore the 60 fps and just capture as a digital equivalent of dv stream.

also I am about 85% sure that there are settings in your "easy set up" that you can customize. make a project with 720P- NTSC with 60 FPS as your frame rate
