Favourite type of insta edit?

Now that ig edits have become an increasingly solidified part of freeskiing, and although I do miss the days where edits were the only thing I watched. I do have to say that ig edits can be edited differently and some I think are sick as fuck, even with the downsides associated with them.

I’d say ig edits are somewhat more flexible in the editing process. They are short videos but people will make funny ones all the way to urban bangers and triples. Meaning they can use the short amount of time to show highlight reels or crashes, Broll, etc

Just wondering what everyone’s “type” of ig edit they find the best or most watchable.

I f with the ones where there’s just a nice line with no music tracks.

The instagram edit wave is going to widen the audience of skiing dramatically and already has. I’m sorry, but ski edits and movies are just unwatchable to the average person or recreational skier. Insta edits force their creators to reduce their edit into small bite size chunks that are more accessible to the average attention span, and also because they’re on IG, a universally accessible medium.
 
Insta edits have always just felt like previews for real edits. A nice way to pass some time and get excited about skiing really quick. Shorter the better - if I wanted to watch more than a couple tricks I'd be on a bigger screen.
 
personally i love how it's done a lot to eliminate slow/boring build ups in edits with b roll and shit. start with some badass riding or im scrolling on by!
 
the ones that feel like a preview to real edit, ones that look like people didnt put alot of time into them but it doesnt look like shit, ones that is just showing a few good shots with out b-roll, if its an actual edit it wouldnt be filmed in vertical
 
On instagram I really like goofy edits. Like the funnier the better but they got have some bangers in there to so it can be taken semi seriously.

If Im in the mood for actual edits Ill just come onto newschoolers haha.
