My Songs - Atmosphere

"I wanna shelter everybody from the snakes

And my sleeves know a couple of tricks for hunting breaks.

(10,000 lakes) Multiple choice of where to drown

So I quote the horse it goes “what floats is what’s found.”

i will post more, you guys should to as you come across new stuff

These warehouse wages

Kill the ends introduction

man I should have schooled it up

When I was younger should have stuck to plan

Always had the dreams of being more self assertive

And my kids a teenager now he needs the health insurance

So break my body

Break break my soul down

Just another zombie walking blindly through your ghost town

Pull up to the bar to politic and tap the power

Aint nobody really all that jolly at your happy hour

But I don’t want to go home yet

So I’m gonna talk to my cigarette

And that television set

It doesn’t matter what brand or station

Anything to take away from the current situation

No overtime pay no holiday

Months behind on everything but the lottery

Went around the corner guaranteeing that my car died

Wifey having trouble trying to juggle both the part times

My cup aint close to filled up

We trying to build up so we can have enough

And when I finally get the color

There won’t be nothing left to paint on

A friend of mine tried to kill himself to the same song

My better half is mad at making magic out of canned goods

My tax bracket status gotta questioning my man hood

My shorty got caught smoking weed at a concert

And if I smack em everybody treats me like a monster

My neighbors aint doing much better

And we making competition instead of sticking together

Cant save no nest egg in fact this nest is rented

In fact that rent is late, wait

The money aint here the raise aint coming

Just me and my son and that crazy woman

And those bartenders this whole fucking country

Got everybody swallowing that lunch meat

Maybe we can speed up the process

Kill me in my thirties in the name of progress

Put me in the dirt and then change the topic

Some time it seems like the only way to stop it

Contemplate my departure date

Doesn’t take a lot to get a lot of us to talk this way

Take a shot at me that's all I'm obligated for

Apparently my only guarantee is a walk away

The only guarantee in life is a life worth dying for

The only guarantee in life is a life worth dying for

Cause death don’t wait for no one

Sitting on your front door

The only guarantee in life is a life worth dying for

Cause death don’t wait for no one

Sitting on your front door

Guarantees - Atmosphere

"Summer time and the wind is blowing outside in lower Chelsea

And I don't know what I'm doing in this city,

The sun is always in my eyes,

It crashes through the windows, when I'm sleeping on the couch,

When I came to visit you,

That's when I knew that I could never have you,

I knew that before you did,

Still I'm the one who's stupid

And there's this burning, like there's always been,

I've never been so alone, and I've never been so alive.

Visions of you on a motorcycle drive by,

The cigarette ash flies in your eyes, and you don't mind, you smile,

And say the world doesn't fit with you.

I don't believe you, you're so serene.

Careening through the universe, your axis on a tilt, you're guiltless and free,

I hope you take a piece of me with you,

And there's things Id like to do that you don't believe in,

I would like to build something, but you'd never see it happen

And there's this burning, like there's always been,

Ive never been so alone, and i've, Ive never been so alive,

And there's this burning, ah ya, there was this burning. aye aye aye

Wheres the soul. I want to know, new york city's evil.

The surface is everything, but I could never do that,

Someone would see through that.

And this is the last time, we'll be friends again.

And I'll get over you ,you'll wonder, who I am.

And there's this burning, just like there's always been,

Ive never been so alone, alone, and i've, and i've, I've never been so alive, so alive

I go home to the coast. it starts to rain, I paddle out on the water alone,

Taste the salt and taste the pain. I'm not thinking of you again,

Summer dies and swells rise, the sun goes down in my eyes, see this rolling wave, darkly coming to take me, home,

And I never been so alone, and Ive never been so alive.

Think of You - A Fine Frenzy
Just to put your mind at ease, you don't owe me anything, you've paid me well in memories.
Where the Falls Begin - Mae
Another day, you walk this spinning wheel
Forgetting how to feel
And how long since it took your breath away
Don't spend another minute trying to
Find out where the moments have gone

Guarantees is such a good song. Alright, since were on an atmosphere role

In Her Music Box - Atmosphere

"Yeah, Daddy knows people he's important

The guy with the suit and tie they see at the court

And it seems like he ain't tryin' to talk to police

But at the car wash they treat him

Like the star that she sees

They like Poppa's big wheels

And the lollipop she gets

Makes her feel like a big deal

Not allowed to have it yet, gotta sit still

Like the toy that she knows is gonna come

With the Kid's Meal

She loves drive thru food

Health conscious Dad, he buys her the juice

A little sip a soda builds the pride

Go ahead Baby Girl don't spill those fries

Nuh-Uh Poppa can't roll a messy office

Compulsive in the way

She lay them napkins all across the seat

Never puts her feet on the upholstery

Just kicks 'em side to side to the beat on the radio

She sings along like Dad does

She knows all the words but leaves out the bad ones

Except bitch, she always says the word bitch

Because it makes her Daddy laugh, it's her magic trick

And when Daddy picks Mommy up they fight

They fight about money, they fight about life

So she concentrates so so hard on the music

And loses herself inside of the bass and the movement"

" these fucking gapers dont know how the webs work even a monkey knows how to use a thread its called the searchbar n00b now go back to bed the searchbar (searchbar) the searchbar FIND OUT HOW TO USE IT! the searchbar (searchbar) the searchbar BUT DONT ABUSE IT!

Hahahaha.

Atmosphere - Always Coming Back Home to You

A car pulled up, a fixed up cutlass

Lady and her girl got out and left it runnin'

They went inside of the deli

Placed an order with an extra dollar fifty bottled water 'cause her daughter's picky

When they came out mommy gave me a glance

That said "Man can love an angel, but he's gotta take the chance"

Already knew the deal, I lit one up and walked

So they got back in they Oldsmobile, belted up and took off

Cunninlynguists - Thugged Out Since Cub Scouts

Cuttin' in the lunch line - what you thinkin', dawg?

I'll stab you dead in your eye with a lincoln log.

Brother Ali - Truth is Here / Rainwater

I truly believed every word I ever uttered on a drumbreak

Right or wrong, life go on, but it wasn't nothin' fake

Granddad was in the twilight of his life

When he closed his eyes tight and opened his wrists wide

What make a tenth round fighter with a winnin' score

Decide he need to throw a towel before the whistle blow?

Maybe I'll never know, but I inherited his poetic soul

So the symbolism's yet to show

Was life so obscene that death was more serene?

Or was in old author tryin' to write his own closing scene?

Real bored so I figured I'd throw in another verse from Louis Logic's Idiot Gear I like a lot.

Most of y'all are just wishin' that this was fiction

And itchin' to ask your chick if your dick isn't a depiction

Of fittin' inside a stitchin' when you're sewing it up

Anf to think that most of this stuff is just over a fuck

I know what you're thinkin', we've all grown over women

And livin' without 'em seems like it's harder than livin' with 'em

But if you hit 'em, you'll probably end up in prison fellas

Then you'll be someone's bitch, I hope your girlfriend isn't jealous

This Cinderella shit is totally irrelevant

You'll never find a girl older than seven that's been celibate

'Cause every girl has been around the block with a guy or ten

And guys are sensitive it's better that you lie to them

Even the violent men who dress up in street clothes

With stilletos and heat knows they got delicate egos

If she chose to disclose all the persons with whom

She put in work in the womb it would burst your balloon.

...And no one wants to share their chick with the last guy

To get rid of the bad vibes you figure you'll ask why

Her past life's still chillin' in the picture frame

She'd prolly forget his name if the dick's the same...

any song from coheed and cambria because the shit is amazing. following the story through the song even wiht the lyrics in front of you is challenging but its all there, you just gotta think, and its what makes them such a great band.

ya, nothing brightens my day like gold ole' murdering and rape.

but you said you like atmosphere, "Yesterday" is a beautiful song

so many others....kweli and common are poets.

If she wants to dance and drink all night then there’s no one that can stop her. She’s going until the house lights come up or her stomach spills onto the floor. This night is going to end when we’re damn well ready for it to be over. Worked all week long now the music is playing on our time. We do what we do to get by, and then we need a release. You get mixed up with the wrong guys. You get messed up on the wrong drugs. Sometimes the party takes you places that you didn’t really plan on going. When people see the track marks on her arms she knows what they’re thinking. She keeps on working for that minimum, as if a high school education offered any other options. They don’t know nothing about redemption. They don’t know nothing about recovery. Some people just ain't the type for marriage and family. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to be a junkie. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to sleep alone. She’s out of step with the style. She don’t know where the actions happening. You know the downtown club scene ain't nothing like it used to be. You reach a point where there’s not a lie in the world that you could use to make the boys believe your still in you twenties. But they keep getting younger, don't they baby? She’s not waiting for them to come over and ask for the privilege. She can still here that Rebel Yell just as loud as it was in 1983. There ain't no Johnny coming home to share a bed with her and she doesn’t care.No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to be a junkie. No mother ever dreams that her daughters going to grow up to sleep alone. If she had to live it all over again you know she wouldn’t change anything for the world.

Haha, another song with some of my favorite lines, just because he's such a.. ah, WHAT!?

Said he had beef, asked me if I had my piece

Sure do, two .22s in my shoes

I'll be happy if someone can name the rapper.

All my attributes is dangerous

My moustache is murderous

My hipbone'll send your clique home with they ribs blown back and they wigs sewn to they six pack

Cartilage in a gift wrap

My cartridges click clack

And leave you and your bitch clapped

Now ya bitch ass need a neck brace with a chin strap

We swing machetes at crews with little ice picks and niggas round my way call me the cuban missile crisis

celph titled

"Government front religious, but thier heart is empty

Like a televangelist preaching out of his bentley

Calling abortion murder in a medical building

But don't give a fuck about bombing Iraqi children"

ghostface killah's part in the song "impossible" by wu tang. by far.
Call an ambulance, Jamie been shot, word to Kemit
Don't go Son, nigga you my motherfuckin heart
Stay still Son, don't move, just think about Keeba
She'll be three in January, your young God needs you
The ambulance is taking too long
Everybody get the fuck back, excuse me bitch, gimme your jack
One, seven one eight, nine one one, low battery, damn
Blood comin out his mouth, he bleedin badly
Nahhh Jamie, don't start that shit
Keep your head up, if you escape hell we gettin fucked up
When we was eight, we went to Bat Day to see the Yanks
In Sixty-Nine, his father and mines, they robbed banks
He pointed to the charm on his neck
With his last bit of energy left, told me rock it with respect
I opened it, seen the God holdin his kids
Photogenic, tears just burst out my wig
Plus he dropped one, oh shit, here come his Old Earth
With no shoes on, screamin holdin her breasts with a gown on
She fell and then lightly touched his jaw, kissed him
Rubbed his hair, turned around the ambulance was there
Plus the blue coats, Officer Lough, took it as a joke
Weeks ago he strip-searched the God and gave him back his coke
Bitches yellin, Beenie Man swung on Helen
In the back of a cop car, dirty tarts are tellin
But suddenly a chill came through it was weird
Felt like my man, was cast out my heaven now we share
Laid on the stretcher, blood on his Wally's like ketchup
Deep like the full assassination with a sketch of it
It can't be, from Yohoo to Lee's
Second grade humped the teachers, about to leave
Finally this closed chapter, comes to an end
He was announced, pronounced dead, y'all, at twelve ten

Primo's Four Course Meal is the song, by Celph. Such a great song too haha, he fucking slays it. I absolutely love this line, makes me laugh no matter how many times I hear it...

These holy clips leave you holy split

And every ho I hit

Get baptized in holy water comin' out the hole in mah dick

One fo my favorite Celph verses is Playin' With Fire though...

Word on the streets is that I'm hellbound 'cause I bully Christians

But I stay up in the armory developin' pulley systems

For launchin' grenades strategically

On stage with heaters illegally, got the soundman shook on my vocal frequency

Back at the crib, it's bettah strap on the bib,

'Cause when I'm bustin' off it's drippin' off the tip of her chin

Chickens and hens

You know I keep 'em bendin' over for me

With my chef's hat stuffin' pultry on the upholstery

Celph Titled's known as a gangsta to some

I got the power of the Gods, I created the one

All these young cats, with glocks, tryin' to clear the floor?

I'm old school, when I'm pullin' out my fearless four

Hear the sound of the glock, bury your face

'Cause the mag that I pack needs a carrying case

I'm not from the Aryan race, but I'll still persecute you

Ride around in the trunk with a little hole to shoot through

And Ap tears it on that track, too, crazy-ass rhyme scheme earlier in the song...

I spark fire like electrical shocks

And ready the glocks

To clash with Connecticut cops

You want some Brad Pitt shit, so you better go watch

The movie Seven 'cause you'll find your wife's head in a box

I just realized I need to spend less of my life listening to music. It's unhealthy.

God Loves Ugly by Atmosphere

i wear my scars like the rings on a pimp

i live life like the captain of a sinking ship

the one thing that i can guarantee

i'm like a stepping razor, i suggest you stay fair with me

been payin dues for a decade plus,

before that i was just another face on the bus

tappin my foot, to the beat on the radio

dreamin 'bout the mic and the money and the ladies

oh mom, i promise im gonna be large

someday im gonna stop tryin to borrow your car

gonna go far, with charisma and skill

until they put my face on a million dollar bill

atmosphere, its just a ten letter word

discretion is the name of my cement-feathered bird

and if you didnt hear, fuck whatevers heard

i think you got the sickness
grey_loader.gif

i suggest you get it cured

caught up in the mix, of a bottle full of fix

im gonna hobble down the street 'til i reach knob creek

its not that i dont like you, i just dont wanna speak

you fuckin freak

now keep your days out my week

the world keeps a balance, through mathematics

defined by whatever youve added and subtracted

im pushin on the hammer, to trigger the brain

embrace how i live it, god loves ugly

chorus

god loves ugly...

once upon a time in minneapolis, yo

i damn near had to steal the show

i stepped on the stage, who is it?

my names slug ive come to kill a couple minutes

whats up with the way, that everybody gathers around each other

so they can steal each others sound

if its all about gettin down with the get down

how long i gotta wait for these fools to sit down?

appears more clear in its simplest form

nobody sees tears when youre sittin in a storm

abandoning the norm, and handling the harvest

measuring the worth by the depth of the hardships

i welcome all the hatred you can aim at my name

i held on to the sacred ways of how to play the game

when the soldiers started runnin short on rations

i began tappin the egg, to spark the hatchin

make it happen

and take this captain to the gallows

i keep steerin us into an area thats shallow

talkin to my shadow, he advised me not to worry

he said i should plant my tree and let it rise out of the fury

so give me some light, a little love and some liquid

im gonna creep through the night

and put a plug in the spicket

and when the water grows

and the dam starts to overflow

ill float atop the flood, holding on to my ugly

chorus

why scream, when you can lose yourself inside the wide-screen

let life be a bowl of melted ice cream

or be the deer thats caught in my high beams

im rollin with the lights on, scared stiff

reality is just too much to bear with

paranoid, walkin around careless

no wonder youre in love with your therapist

go to sleep my little time bomb

one of my favorites for sure

oh and if you want to see some fuuucked up lyrics, search Angel of Death by slayer. im not going to post them because they're absolutely horrible and disturbing

[Bert] I'm sick!

[Ernie] What's the matter Bert?

[Bert] I'm sick!

[Ernie] Oh yeah?

[Bert] I'm sick Ernie! Can't you tell that?

[Ernie] You're sick?

[Bert] I'm sick!

[Ernie] You're sick?

[Bert] I'm sick!

[Ernie] Then you caught it!

[Ernie] Boy you must know who it is whose sick!

[Benefit]

As my verse disperses the worst curses a person hurts worse

Than the first virgin's privacy purse burstin’

I walk around the underground as a powerful thunder sound

Wearing the low down profound lyrical wonder crown

Advanced listening wrestlin’ with pressure expressions

And steppin’ in as a special specimen fresher than freshman

Obvious over dosage coasted it over oceans

With explosive posts flyer than your promotional posters

Skillfully killing willfully drilling syllable spilling

Feeling really up settable biting is edible stealing

Walking around the planet, rocking the ground like granite

Cocking my sound cannon and stopping the sound famine

Deliberate inconsiderate etiquette, Benefit's belligerence

Spitting shit like laxative excrement

Dove in a frozen ocean fell low below boastin’

The one chosen who rose exposin’ the flow erosion

[Chorus - repeat 4X]

So nice that it's nasty, so bangin’ it's bustin’

So sweet that it's sick, so dope it's disgustin’

[Benefit]

I lead an expedition in vision and competition

In a prison when deliverin’ witherin’ rhyme litterin’

Givin’ and never endeavoring ever clever however

bringin’ it whether together or on solo feathers

Sicker than liquor and medicine burnin’ and blisterin’

Leave your lights flickering

Quicker than strobes you're trippin’ in

The high appointed, style anointed with ill delivery ointment

On point with this like jointed presidential appointments

Flashin’ full fashionable rational lyrical passion

Glow bashin’ skulls burnin trash flows and watch ash grow

Belittling with little men livin’ in oblivion

Try battling imaginin’ that they're hyper than Ritalin

Simply deranged brain exchanged pain for gain

Rearrange your frame to strange plain pattern with slain

Bigger badder and better than all of your gold and cheddar

When spreadin’ wing like medicine

Men with ancient tribal lettering

[Chorus]

[Ben] Sick, sick, so sick

[Bert] I'm sick, sick, sick!

[Ben] Sick, sick, so sick

Make Damn Sure -Taking Back Sunday

TBS always has sick lyrics.

You've got this new head filled up with smoke

I've got my veins all tangled close

To the jukebox bars you frequent

The safest place to hide

A long night spent with your most obvious weaknesses

You start shaking at the thought

You are everything I want

'Cause you are everything I'm not

And we lay, we lay together just not

Too close, too close (How close is close enough?)

We lay, we lay together just not

Too close, too close

I just wanna break you down so badly

While I trip over everything you say

I just wanna break you down so badly

In the worst way

My inarticulate store bought hangover hobby kit

In talks, it says, 'You, oh, you are so cool.'

Scissor-shaped across the bed

You are red, violent red

You hollow out my hungry eyes

You hollow out my hungry eyes

And we lay, we lay together just not

Too close, too close (How close is close enough?)

We lay, we lay together just not

Too close, too close

I just wanna break you down so badly

Well I trip over everything you say

Well I just wanna break you down so badly

In the worst way

I just wanna break you down so badly

Well I trip over everything you say

I just wanna break you down so badly

In the worst way (worst way)

I'm gonna make damn sure that you can't ever leave

No, you won't ever get too far from me

You won't ever get too far from me

I'll make damn sure that you can't ever leave

No, you won't ever get too far from me

You won't ever get too far from me

You won't ever get too far from me

You won't ever get too far...

I just wanna break you down so badly

Well I trip over everything you say

Well I just wanna break you down so badly

In the worst way (worst way)

I'm gonna make damn sure

I just wanna break you down so badly

I just wanna break you down so badly (damn sure)

In the worst way (worst way)

mad mad world by shaggy:

It’s a mad mad world that we’re living in

Gotta keep your heads up high, can’t be giving in

Don’t you let one day go by without praising the most High

‘Cause it’s the only way we ever will survive

It’s a mad mad world that we’re living in

(What’s wrong with us?)

Gotta keep your heads up high, can’t be giving in

Don’t you let one day go by without praising the most High

‘Cause it’s the only way we ever will survive

Rough life, nuff crime, youth them a do hard time

No guides, no sign, walking on a thin like

Sentenced, no trial, victim of a profile

No hope, more fight, wonder why we’re hostile

False prophet make profit, focused on them pocket

White collar false docket, door open, can’t lock it

Politics, polytricks, equal econometricks

(Where is the justice?)

Death toll rising, sex commercializing

Barely surviving, future jeopardizing

No compromising, hope paralyzing

Rules need revising, why is it surprising?

Got to heed the warning, see the storms are forming

Not the time for stalling, look around it’s so appauling

It's a mad mad world that we're living in

Gotta keep your heads up high, can't be giving in

Don't you let one day go by without praising the most High

'Cause it's the only way we ever will survive

It's a mad mad world that we're living in

(Mad, crazy you know)

Gotta keep your heads up high, can't be giving in

Don't you let one day go by without praising the most High

'Cause it's the only way we ever will survive

Nuclear warfare, satellites everywhere

Mothers on welfare, what about medicare?

Ethnic cleansing, freedom pending

Government spending, who are they defending?

Bankrolls on poles, anything to enroll

Spotlight's their goal, price paid their soul

Step back, retrack, notice where your life's at

(Where was it worth it?)

Got to heed the warning, see the storm that's forming

Not the time for stalling', look around it's so appauling'

Poor is the mentality that disregard humanity

Say no to this insanity, create a new reality

Although I like Taking Back Sunday (I even went to a concert, it was pretty good), I still think that those lyrics are nonsensical and trying too hard to be deep. They sound decent when you hear them, but if you actually think about them, a lot of it barely pertains to the song, and repeats the same theme over and over. I like lyrics that actually tell a story, or change somehow throughout the song, instead of so much repetition. A lot of underground rappers such as Slug and Murs have their songs tell a story, and it helps illustrate a picture so much more than hearing lyrics like those. I like "MakeDamnSure", it's a catchy song, I I just think the lyrics are now ones that I would consider my favorite.

the shoulder that i lean on was carved out of stone

but when i'm done freezin i wanna be alone

never want my hand cut off

never want a hacking cough

never need a cliff side push

never turned my brain to mush

always give me what I like

always take the best parts back

always recognize your fate

always just a moment late

left is where I always turn

left is how i'm forced to learn

left the route my walking takes

left alone with my mistakes

up against a person

up until now i never knew

up from hell the answer blew

up or down its up to you

drop me off the chinese wall

and peel my fingers off the rim

i come unglued while in mid air

and land to reform

limb by limb

and i am taken far away

lingering slowly melting away

and i am taken far away

tossed with a salad and baled with the hay

and i am taken far away

trampled by lambs pecked by the dove

For the hell of it

You spit irrelevant

Delicate flows

Speak child

Intelligent, Mellow shit kills fellowships bellowing freestyles

Smile. Punch lines can crush the spines of the skeptics

Perfection stepped in

Three guesses who the best is

Check it, Check it

Hello, Hello

Yo Yo

I am, I ams dumb, dumb

Can, Can Qwel, Qwel rock, rock?

Well, Well um, um

Fear, fear kids, kids

Cans, cans spray paint not now

Look out below, its that flow that you were shoutin' 'bout so loud

Crush flows in mudslides

Ha ha that raw in punchlines

Funny like when the thug sun dies at moonrise

I'm sunshine

Echos at graveyards are speakin' of us(Echoed)

Seekin to touch those rainbow demons breathin' beneath graffiti buffs

Feed the needy

fuckking bleeding down the side of silver snakes

hollow in a hollow-safeguard

Dollars in graveyards fill your graves

Listen through submission and sadistic cultures

And demon's guns surround our suns like Copernicus-tic vultures

Soldier's clothingg

Golden swollen

Souls in carcass herses

Curse your first-person

And search for serpents in our verses

Your crew bleeds too profusely

Who gave groupies loosely

Standing over the remains of a slain fifth-grade class mate

Who's got cooties

Excuse me, emcees

Pretending not to envy me

But readily sending hebies of frenzy centipedes

Motherfuckkers lack intensity

And can't rhyme either

I see words, split 'em in twice with reverbs

Become a believer

You blow like you're poprocks with 3 liters

The shit's on.

Snap your fat lackin' tracks in half

Mine are big-boned

These styles be free

Qwel sees above weak emcees

Decibel levels

An infinite tecimal

Tesicle Jokes

Investin'in broke for lines

Not as dope as mine

Needs work

rehearse your speech slurs

I won like three thirds

Censor the census

On my five senses

And unisex the mutants

'Till the glitches in my wrist digits salute the richest humans

The worst heard herbal verbalist

My thirst for herbs further disturbs this itch

Servin' kids, track

Turnicates,

Smashin' furnishings after class

With the get in your as* pass, rappin backwards

Askin' for herbs and the last laugh, laugh

Born to shine, at home, and over border lines

I seen this kid that used to hold dimes, loadin' a nine

Said that he's rollin' in crime, and it's blowin' his mind

Got radio stations, pumpin' one minute sensations

They wanderin' aimless, with no destination

Claimin' they amazin', but nobody's movin'

If that's what you call game, man your plays need improvin'

The crowds booin' and your the crumb of the year

I see you holdin' your hand out, but I got nothin to spare

You must be buggin' like Chekov with that thing in his ear

Instead of running your mouth, you should be running in fear

I'm just putting idea's and stress down on the paper

And haters don't even like themselves so of course they hate ya

[Shhh] while d-shade serenade ya through the serwin vegas preparing the server hater

We found a plate of leftovers from the last of the challengers

And I mop the stage up with you armatures like janitors

If you got nothin' good to say why bother speak?

I heard image is everything and talk is cheap
