Curious about this.. What kinda films are we watching? Personally, I watch anything, but super into big mountain stuff that Matchstick does.

Any time there’s an edit with pow or big mountain skiing I just skip to the part where it goes back to park or urban skiing. Pow skiing is incredibly boring to watch, idk how people watch mainly big mountain filled edits and think “wow that was a good watch!!”

You gotta learn to appreciate the return of the turn man. But I do agree if it’s legit just like turns and big lines over and over it does get boring, now throw a lazyboy 7 off a natural feature with no lip then go slash and manny threw pow like Cole Richardson and you’ve rly got my attention. Also can we plz get ride of landing in pow switch and immediately bouncing to forward, that shits a bit played out. If you can ski pow sw like pep or pollard you can ski out of those, it makes it way more interesting and better looking

I do appreciate it. I enjoy watching people throw that kinda stuff in person while I’m riding up the chair but I just can’t get myself to enjoy watching film of it haha

I do agree with that. I really like what ski carnage is doing with pow/bc and reidsmf and Cole Richardson where it’s more of a raw kinda style of filming it rather than ur top quality matchstick or tgr movie that comes out every year with the same cork 7s and flat 3s in slow mo

I’m into watching pros ski the exact same thing I do. Very rare to get a rowdy resort segment and they obviously don’t film at the 25degree backcountry terrain I frequent.

This reminds me of LSM's segment in Color. He's got a super loose sw pow landing in that which is a joy to watch

I'm a big fan of park segments and hate how they don't respected nearly as much as street/bc. I get that it's so much easier to shoot park, but street tricks never look as good as they do in the park, because of the shitty flat landings with no rideout and impossibility to carry speed. Hate how people abandon park shoots to focus on more 'legit' skiing (e. g. Strictly). More projects like Halcyon Days pls
