Fatypus B-Nasty skis

was meandering a thrift store and came across some fatypus b-nasty skis, zero edge damage, delam, and nothing cosmetically wrong. picked up for $9 with salmon z10 bindings mounted on them (?). Ive seen the L-toro models and even the A-Lotta on some brian head pow days. if anyone has skiied the B-nasty lmk your opinion because im wanting to hit moguls/jumps with it. Also wondering if I should throw different bindings on or just suffer with z10s, they seem legit and ive liked the brand just never come across this model.

You'll definitely want to remount with an actual binding. If you don't have any laying around you can probably find something for $100-120 or something used for cheaper.
 
ive had a couple pairs of fatypus skis. absolutely bomb proof. they will be fine with a remount. and honestly someone should call the 911 because getting them for $9 is a robbery
 
i found a deal near me for squire 11s, heard they crack but they’re $60 soooooo

I got a pair of these new on sale over the summer, but I haven’t skied them yet. I have M5’s already and they’re awesome skis. I think David Babic almost made the Olympic team on B-Nasty’s, so I wouldn’t hesitate to remount and ski them if it’s in the budget.

i’m 130, didn’t the quality get better? checked the year and it says they were made in 2023

He’s saying if you’re over 110lbs you’re too heavy for the binding.

Trust, you got a steal on skis. Don't be afraid to spend a bit more on bindings that won't make you lose or break your skis/body.

i don’t doubt anyone but aren’t they rated up to something like 100kg??

What they're rated for and how they perform are totally different things. Any low DIN binding is more lightly built and will break/fail more easily. If you're an average sized/ bigger adult and a good skier, a 14 DIN binding is probably the minimum you should look for. What DIN value do you ride your bindings at? You should use a binding that keeps you somewhere in the middle of the DIN range.

i’m skiing very light jumps and barely any park, i’m typically around 9-10 but thought that salomon z10s from a few years ago weren’t cutting it. 5’7 130lbs so i think it’ll be fine, not getting corked anytime this season or trying anything too out there. read up on their durability a ton before grabbing them and i made sure to get a model from 23-24 since their quality improved. open to criticism if im jerry as shit lol
