Fat-Ypus D-Sender - Any good for backcountry freestyle?

Anybody skied the Fat-ypus D-senders? They advertise them as their backcountry competition skis and come in the perfect length and width for me. I've read other reviews of people absolutely loving them, but none of them mention freestyle in the backcountry. Are these any good for poppin off cliffs and doing tricks? Or are they mainly for goin straight and landing solid?

I ski 80% backcountry super pow but occasionally hit the park. Groomers are a no go for me except for when I'm gettin down after a solid day so I really don't worry about my skis bein floppy (i've heard bout the lizzies) on the hard stuff for too long (park is the only hard pack, but nothing too fast).

Its either these or the line lizzies and both I can get for 375 bucks....

dude...no. I am sorry to any fans of these, but these are stupid. Also, Lizzies are a fat park ski.

Honestly, go longer with "freestyle backcountry skis". Get 189 LL2s, JJs, ARGs, Chetlers, or if you don't care about weight and won't be hitting larger cliffs Bents or EP Pros. 191 Caylors would be a good choice too. Rocker makes skis ski much shorter and much better in pow. Get a ski that is aimed to do its best in pow, not a GS ski widened 80mm. ANY of those will be better, and you can for sure find deals on most of them.

at alyeska i talked to a guy who had a pair and he loved them so much i regretted asking him in the first place. i saw him on the hill and he was dropping some good size cliffs and boosting those spinny do dads off cornices.

I have them.

they are super money for charging and hitting drops. really stiff and excellent durability. you can order them fro $375 NEW on their website right now!!! they are trying to clear out last years skis.

They aren't too heavy, either, so the swing weight isn't terrible. I don't boost huge kickers all the time, but i have thrown big 3s and dropped hits switch with them.
