Fat skis that rip in the park, HELP! +k

I am 6'1", 155 pounds, and i am looking for a fat ski, not even park directed but that can be used in the park, for example i was looking at the 177 YLE, but am not too sure. I was looking for something with camber underfoot but rocker in teh tip and tail and something almost symmetrical.

I was hoping for something above 105 in the waist, but if anyone has any other suggestions about waist width or maybe rockered skis, let me know!

As said, +k for help!

K2 Hellbents fo sho!!!

Super buttery, playful ski in the park and has camber underfoot to hold an edge on groomers, also symmetrical. get the 2013's with griffon schizos and mount them on the 179s

I saw quinn on devastators at pc every weekend. He looked like he really enjoyed them. I assume you know who quinn is. If not look him up he sends it.

id say kartel 106 also dope ski man or maybe hellbents even though the are done getting made you could find a pair they are symmetrical but more of a pow based ski imo hope i helped

So do you want a fat park ski or a ski that can handle pow and still rip in park?

More of one that can handle pow and if necessary still rip in the park

In this thread not one but two people have said the Hellbent is symmetrical, which makes me think they've never even seen a pair. Hence I can't understand why they would recommend them. They're fun in the park, and a novelty, but they certainly don't "rip", they're heavy and floppy and the metric buttload of rocker means they wash out easily (but are easy to correct a sketchy landing) if you land backseat.

In that case id say 4frnt YLE. With 119 underfoot it can float good in pow with all the rocker too and also YLE takes park laps on it from time to time. Won't be the best park ski but will get the job done better than you think.

i second the yle. i ride the crj, and from what you say you want the yle would probly be good

I agree that hellbents or something soft and rockered like that are the way to go. I have used yles and hellbents both in the park and the yles feel just like a normal park ski that is really heavy and makes everything harder. The hellbents on the other hand are a completely different experience. They make some tricks way more fun and everything super slow and smooth.

I have only heard good things about the shreditor series and I know Collin Collins rips the shit out of a pair of 102s so I would say a 112 isn't a bad idea for more pow and all mountain performance.

Devastators would also be worth looking at as well as surface one life's which they changed the name to outsider if you want this year's model with an improved base

Have you seen people ride this in the park? It seems like it is a 100% powder ski, the full rocker and the 124 waist

I have used it in the park and it is really fun. It is super light for its size and really buttery. It is really good in powder fun in the park but it does totally suck for all mountain. It is kind of sketchy riding switch into jumps but for all other parts of park it is good fun.

I also agree with the YLE. I'm 6-1 220 and I'm running the 187. Great ski that really rips around. Took it through the park a few times and doesn't do to shabby

I did find a good deal for these, but I'm thrown off by you saying they suck for all mountiain? Why are they bad all mountain?

Big name brands are tight but if you want something that no one else has that is versatile for powder and park I recommend checking out the company FKNA. My friend rides the "bro model" and he tells everyone they are the best. If you aren't digging those, definitely check out WUBangers! They make custom skis designed for the rider so you can build your own. If Wubanger interests you then let me know, I can get you a good deal on a pair :0 good luck!

i rode a pair of YLE's last year only for a few runs. I did not hit park, but I was surprised how light they were for that big of a ski. I think that'd be a really good choice.

I also think the death wish would be a good choice solely based off of dimensions, but I have no experience riding it. it has the infamous double camber which I have no idea how it would perform in park. It won a bunch of awards, though. Plus moments are all dooooope.

Damn those are some sick skis! I love moment graphics and shape but I dont like the fact that they retail for over 700 dollars, that being said, if you know any website that has a good deal on moments let me know!

Salomon Rocker2 108. I used em out in whistler and literally ripped on everything. 2 out of the 3 days I was there we just had to ski park because there was no snow, and they were super fun

Shreditor 102s or 112s

Any idea where to get kung fujas for a decent price? And somewhere they aren't sold out ?

The shreditor is a super fun ski. Stiff enough to carve groomers and charge pow but the nose rocker will allow you to butter on it. You can attach skins to it so you can tour to get some insane powder after a couple of days after a dump. The tapered tip and blunt ends will allow you to float even in blower pow days. I managed to ride the shreditor in japan and was more than pleased on how it performed. Managed to take it on 35 foot jumps, hit DFD and other rails as well as light enough to switch up on rails. You can charge with it on groomers pretty easily as it's predictable with groomers. Overall Shredtior is a great ski.

Ya I think if I got anything out of the shreditor line-up it would be the 120 or the petitor (depending on the year), They look like a super fun ski all around

the new Atomic bent chetler is pretty gnarly

Bent chetlers are definitely gnarly, right now I am in between these, still the yle, or possibly the petitor

They're fun but if you want a ski that seems fat but also has awesome swing weight its going to be the aldente. That is my ski of choice for sure.
