Family friend makes UConn basketball.......he's white

shit is sooo crazy. just a sophomore walk-on. uconn is ranked #2 in the NATION in preseason polls. his names Jimmy Vincenzo if theres anyone from UConn out there.

the catch is, he's not gonna do it! he would be on the bench all season. practice is 3 hrs a day 5 days a week and uconn will only pay for a tutor for athletes on scholarship. but still, this is a once in a liftime oppurtunity! he's an engineering major so he'd be way behind on work since they travel all over the US. idk man, that would be soooo sick. i mean, when he's 60 years old and is looking back, what will he think?

ps - the "he's white" thing was kind of a joke, kind of not.

engineering is a lot of work. If he stays on the team and doesn't play then I would say not to do it. Looking back on it when hes 60 im sure he would like to have a lot of money for retirement. And if being on the team means he has to pick a different major hes not interested in then he shouldnt do it. But its cool he walked on.
 
engineering is hard as fuck here. my friend is a junior and he does the easiest type (i forgot which), but he has tons of work all the time. however, being the basketball team would be dope. as long as he's not a fag like gavin edwards, he'll be like a celebrity. jonathon mandeldove was around my apartment one night and asked to use my bathroom, so i told him why not (the people next door were having a party and we were just chillin outside in lounge chairs). he left like 10 minutes later with 4 girls surrounding him. and he's fucking jonathon mandeldove, a big fuckin doofus.

plus to ride bench for the #2 school in the nation, i'd do it freshman year and if its too much, quit. i mean, freshman years a joke and to play on such a highly ranked team? c'mon.
 
I was a freshman there when both the girls and guys won it in 03/04. Boone and Villanueva lived two doors down on 8th floor in Ellsworth.
Seriously, the basketball players are GODS on that campus. He's silly for not trying it at least for a year. Academically I guess he's making the right choice though.
