Familiarity with Majesty Vandal 2.0 skis?

Hi everyone,

My name is Eric and I wanted to ask if anyone has tried skiing on the Majesty Vandal 2.0. I went to my local ski shop, but they don't carry that brand. I searched online only to find few information and mostly sites to buy the skis. I did, however, find a detailed review on NS on the 2017 model. (https://www.newschoolers.com/reviews/4659/Vandal-2-0) The reviewer mentioned catching tip and tail edges off jumps and rails many times. I was wondering if you guys have the same experience with the reviewer.

I'm in the process of purchasing my first pair of skis. The two skis I have in mind are Armada Arv 96 and Majesty Vandal 2.0. I ski in the West Coast, specifically Lake Tahoe, California. I consider myself to be an intermediate on groomers and beginner in the park terrain. I will be skiing 70% on groomers and 30% park. I'm 28 years old, stand 5'7, and weigh 145 pounds. I need help on deciding on these two skis and whether the Majesty Vandal catch tip and tail edges.

P.S. I'm new to NS and this is my first post. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong so I can fix it in the future and to be a better member in the community.

Thanks for your help!

-Eric

I skied on the Vandal 2.0s last season. From what you say you will be riding I definitely think that they would be a great ski for you. Super fun to rip around on groomers and an incredibly playful ski in the park. I never had any issues with tips catching unless I was going to fall anyways haha. They are really light yet durable so in my opinion, they will be awesome for progressing in the park when you're in there while still being a dope ski to rip anything else on the mountain! Hope this helps, message me if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the input man! I really appreciate it! There's a 15% off sale for the Vandal 2.0 on the Majesty America website. So instead of $599.99, it will be $509.99 which is almost the same price as the Armada Arv 96. Now, I just have to decide between the two. I heard the ARV 96 is playful as well so it's going to be a tough decision. haha
