I dont think so, last year they went to new york and the midwest, and before that their first 2 videos had a lot of QC and Montreal footage from what I remember. Last year there was Cole Navin's video Living Room that I think was filmed around Boston. He hit the big green DFD that Cam Riley hits in For Lack of Better, which is in that area i think

Jill Perkins has a shot hitting a flat to down rail near Harvard, I was thinking it was in Dreamcastle but I rewatched last night and it must have been in something else.

very sick, thanks for the suggestion. i love that regular slides and devouring tons of big kinks has gotten more in vogue than trick logging again these days!

yeah dang i had it in my head that it was a dustbox video i had in mind but a quick scrub through their videos on youtube hasn't found me anything... let me know if you come across it, thanks!

Such a great video, happy they went back to the no titles edit route, and the Garret ski clip was a W for skiing. Whoever picks the music for these videos is a savant.

maybe it was how dark blue feels by bryden bowley? pre sure that entire vid was in that general area but i could b wrong

I was stoked on it. I forever have a gripe with the hard drop/push into the rails filming style in edits. I get that It's more "core" or whatever, but I've never been a fan. Even when it first started coming out to be more skate style. Skate clips even in that style seem way smoother always too honestly. I think part of it maybe is just not knowing how a video is going to stack so you're trying to get clips and filming however. I thought there were a few shots with that style done more smoothly that were better, but sometimes when a few clips stack in a row it's rough. I was worried at the beginning but the edit didn't make that a style point for the whole thing like some.

There were a few fucking heavy clips. That quad kink elbow/z whatever clip was fucking sick. I really liked the vibe in it. Got me pumped for the season.

I think all in all it was a solid video and good watch for anyone to get hyped.

what do you mean by all this I’m a little lost. Like they drop in from a stop instead of coming In further back with consistent speed?

Yeah It's not just this movies but snowboard filming and some skiing too. The heavy drop straight down. It doesn't look smooth at all imo and is done "to be core" or mimic other raw edits that are "core".

I've always thought it looked beat and takes away from the clips to me. There were a few in there that weren't as shaky. Idk if it's from filming the same rail over and over and getting tired or just that style of shot in general, but it just looks rough and fucks with the flow of things.

That's my hot take but I'll stand by it. I know it's "core" but I think that's a garbage shot, even if it's in all kinds of core videos and a ton of edits. I liked the movie. I'm just being critical. I've quit watching edits because of that shot before.

I see I see. Probably just a necessity since the dropin is the best tool to hit rails quietly and cheaply, winches are a pretty penny these days, even to build one.

I mean the shot not the drop in. The style of shot I mean is when it moves and then drops aggressively hard, like almost a parody of the shot down and moves into the rail. In this they didn't really move in the way you see a lot of edits of a few park clips but that aggressive drop kinda fucks up the flow for me.

It's a hot take and I'm probably in the minority but I'm just not a fan. It feels as smooth as if you dropped the camera on the ground and cut it before it hits. It's so forced.

Oh I know exactly what you mean now. Strobeck style filming. Riders face then the rail. I don’t mind it but it’s weird when other people do it just cause it’s almost copying. I feel like a lot of people are going to continue to adopt the style. It’s nice to use it every once in a while as variety ig

there was a hood bit of spots from jamestown ny, along with warren pa, and i’m betting more small oil and coal towns from down there
