Hey there... I'm writing an essay on skiing, and I need a detailed description of what a Twintip ski is. In what ways does it differ from regular skis (except for the twintip, duh).. thanks people

^^ here a troll for ya

twin tips (modern tip twips) have evolved from SKIBLADES!!!!!! Thats right kiddies Salomon the great company that brought us skiblades used the same concept to devlop their revolutionary twin tip the 1080....about a year earlier K2 had the Poacher which was limited by its soft flex and poor shape...

school will be in session later...do your homework

^.... hmmmm, maybe everyone should go to the LINE site. i am pretty sure LINE made the first skiboards ever. Then they followed up with the Ostness Dragons and 1260. Salomon might have had the first twin tip, but Line was making skiboards way earlier if i'm not mistaken.

If you are bored, read this. http://www.lineskis.com/propaganda/index.php

its sweet and is a detailed description of the evolution of twintip skis.

And as a definition, i would say that twintips are evolved skis with a turned up tail, enabling the skier to ride backwards. They also have a unique flex pattern and different choice of materials to improve overall performance, and durability.

I HATE NY PRODUCTIONS

they're made for park, pipe, and powder, or whatever they make them for.

the first twin was made in the 30's and it's in the december issue of 2004 freeze.

i cant take him[liam downey] seriously cuz his name reminds me of that downy bear from back when i was a kid -d loc

Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j

The only thing that defines a twin tip is the tip in the rear really. What most of us know as twin tips are generally park skis with different flex and varied, mouning positions, like center mounted. For a while thats all they were. Now, however, with the popularity companies are starting to make all kinds of skis with a flipped up tail for more versatiltiy, like carving, all mountain etc.

a ski that goes backwards too! ahhhhhhh!

stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

they called them ballet skis in the 70s... a guy on the chairlift told me

How ironic, he's blinded after a lifetime of enjoying being able to see

just go to line skis site and find the propaganda page. It has every thing you need. I used the page for a paper already.

Twin tips are made out of crack rocks and congealed heathen blood.

"Who's playing tonight?"

"The Shitty Beatles"

"Are they any good?"

"No they suck. Good Name though."
