I had a shift on them and it was my favorite ski I've ever owned. I also had a Mana 3 last season. It is most certainly NOT identical, the core construction is completely different despite the shape being the same. It did indeed feel hooky to me on hard snow but in fresh snow it was fine, but I did end up in a tree in Montana last season when my tails caught and I flew off the cat track, but that was probably me more than the ski!
