Faction 2.0 playfulness

How playful are the Faction 2.0's in comparison to, say, the Line Blend? They're both symmetrical in construction, right? They both have similar dimensions...but I don't know how playful they are. I'm considering purchasing some if I can find them for a decent price but I need to know this part first

Oh really? I thought they were. My mistake

Yeah, I mean they are a freestyle ski and people ride them switch all the time, but the exact dimensions are 132-100-122. The candide 2.0 are fully symmetric tho at 132-102-132 with a symmetric flex and rocker profile.

Both are pretty playful skis, but I coundt tell you which one is more playful. Probably some of the most playful skis out there.

It all depends on the mounting of the binding. I've ridden 2.0s with true center, freestyle recommendation and somewhere between freestyle and regular recommendation.

With the true center, it was ridiculous. Just plain noodles, buttering has never been that easy. Totally worth trying for a chill day.

With the freestyle recommendation it was playful, yet much more stable. I feel that it became more of jump ski when mounted back a few centimeters. Of course if you compare it to Faction Silas (comp ski), it is still way too soft to be that kind of ski. I hit 60 footers without any further problems.

With the mounting somewhere between freestyle recommendation and just recommended it was surprisingly even more stable, and it floated well in 20 inch powder.

The binding I used to change my mounting was Marker Griffon Schizo which worked way better than expected. No problems, and great joy experiencing the different sides of one ski, how it can change drastically with just a few centimeters. How you can change the ski after your mood or conditions.

tl;dr Depends on mounting, true center=true noodles. freestyle rec=still some playfulness, but stiffer. And even further back it becomes stiffer but floats way better in pow. Want to try the different styles of this ski? get marker griffon schizo, worked great for me.

Are you talking about the Factions or the Blends here? I know the Blends are soft, but I heard the factions were stiff and poppy

The candide 2.0 do not have symmetric rocker. 200mm in the tip, 150mm in the tail

I've got the 2's mounted at freestyle center and holy bawls they're so much fun. They are on the stiffer side but personally I like that. They charge way harder than a softer ski. It really comes down to what you can have more fun on. I like a stiffer ski so I can play around on that way more than on a softer ski. If you want them to flex just put a little more pressure into it. We've all seen Adam Delorme butter the piss out of those skis.

I moved from Lizzies (noodles) to 2.0s and love them. Way more stable but still very playful and fun; just takes a little more effort to flex through them.
