Facebook Gold?

HAHA Yeah I know, this is like 1 of 100 I've seen lately. One had like 6 million members or something in it, it's nuts.

Is there really going to be a premium Facebook service though at some point?

God people are dumb. There is no way that anyone could develop something to add a dislike button, theme profiles, or change any other feature of the site with what Facebook publicly supplies to developers. Facebook itself would never have you join a group and add all your friends to get these features because there's no need to do this and it would be impossible to add a feature in this way. What good is a dislike button if less than half of the users can see it?

Much older than you. I didn't make this thread because I signed up for that group, I was just using the group as an example - the real question I wanted to ask is that if Facebook is actually considering offering a premium service. Yeah no shit that all of the links there are for affiliate marketing, and don't worry, I didn't install any of the downloadable browser add-ons. Maybe I should have worded my first post differently...

Actually, it's not a gimmick to group as many members as possible, it's a gimmick to get people to sign up for the 3 affiliate offers posted in the info. Whoever created the group probably gets $1 or $2 per person that signs up for those offers, so it was an attempt to make a quick buck.

And no, it would NOT be an issue of net neutrality. Net neutrality has to deal with Internet Service Providers, not individual websites like Facebook. Porn sites and online magazines can offer "premium services" for a fee, can't they?

Facebook Gold was said to offer Ad free browsing, video chat, being able to see who views your profile, and a few other things. I made this thread to see if Facebook actually planned on offering Facebook Gold. I knew the Group was complete bullshit but I wasn't sure if Facebook Gold was complete bullshit too - apparently it is though.

And yes I agree, net neutrality is a horrible thing and hopefully it will be avoided.

I'm still debating deleting my account. Have been for the last few months. It's nice for keeping up with people but it's so sketchy.

Idk, I think I'll be off soon.

if facebook was actually going to do something to change the way it worked it they wouldnt need to do it through a gay group, think about it.

Im temped to start my own fake group about something like that just to see how many idiots would join. pretty much every group invite on fb now a days is either to get #s or for some fake offer
