F u summer camp articles

honestly, i hate to be a jealous asshole b/c someone else is having fun when im not...but seriously, i might kill myself if i see another frontpage article about how great summer camp is going...anyone else with me?
nothing against you guys up on the glaciers, i bet it's awesome. i just didnt have the time or the funds cause im saving up to move to aspen when i finish college in december, so no glaciers or south america for me this year...so im really dying having to wait 5 more months...

ive basically just stopped coming on NS cause it hurts so bad to see the lead story on the front page every time
 
so your hating on summer ca,ps (which happen to be the only summer news for sking available) because you are incapable of going to one...... gay/?
 
It really is the skiing news that is happening right now... I mean where else are people?

I for one am stoked reading it and getting a bit of a skiing fix from behind my desk. Its super weird to not be out there this year...

 
i am definitely not with you on this. yeah, i wish i was there, but i enjoy reading the articles and seeing photos of what's happening in the skiing community.
 
Same. On one hand, I'm dying to be there, it looks like so much fun. But on the other hand, it's cool to see what's going on out there and to get a few sick skiing pics. Also, I really want to go in the next few years, so it shows how dope the whole summer camp thing is.
 
thats a really stupid thing to say. if anything it makes me want to go to summer camp. next year or the year after that im going to save up my money for it
 
I can totally see where the thread creator is coming from, but I guess through it all it gets me way stoked to go skiing in a couple months
 
no no no no, i do enjoy reading the articles, all im saying is that FOR ME it's pretty painful and i wish i had some options available to go skiing right now.

by no means should they stop posting the articles or anything, i was just venting.

i guess i just forgot how seriously everyone takes everything on this site, but honestly, im not "hating on summer camps," i just resent the fact that theyre getting so much coverage and im not there, that's all...dang

i mean ill be the first to admit that this thread is basically just shameless whining on my part, but whatever. i feel entitled to do so because it's 102 degrees outside, and last i checked this site's purpose throughout half the year is to help people like me survive the off-season in whatever way possible. Thread = justified.
 
yeah it bums me out BIG TIME to read those and i do kinda avoid them now but then i think o f how much fun everyone has up there and i just dream about it at night every night
