Extreme sports programs never show skiing?

Has anyone else noticed that on extreme sports programs on TV it's almost always snowboarding? It's never skiing and in my opinion (like i'm sure many others here too) skiing is so much cooler than snowboarding!!! Why isn't skiing promoted as much as snowboarding?I wasn't sure if I should post it or not but w/e.

its because in the eyes of tv producers skiing hasent been made as main stream as snowboarding. its not all a bad thing, i think that the sport has been progressing in a way that i wouldnt if it was blowing up like snowboarding. i mean for example x games big air is all about dubs now because thats what people who dont ski want to see. but some of the sickest skiing is the crazy jibs that no one has thought of before, thats just my thoughts

i have to disagree with this, people who dont ski want to see things that they "THINK" are crazy. a prime example of this is dumonts double front superman. im not hating on dumont here the man knows what people want to see. this is just my opinion though . . .

extreme skiing is featured in the extreme games and in the xtreme mtn dew tour. that sounds pretty extreme to me. so extreme, in fact, now i need a mtn dew.

Um i saw teton gravity had a program on nbc the other day for 30 mins. It was pretty Cool. The sport is growing. At first slowly. But now its just exploding. Personally i liked it better when it was smaller. But Whatever.
