I don't think it encourages it, or tells you not to. It shows how drugs can change your perception and bring you back to your 'childish' mind through joy, experiences, etc. but in the end you cannot replace your mind as a child permanently. Drugs aren't even that relevant in the film, they are just used as a means to bring across the point that no matter what you try (drugs, or anything else in life for that matter), you cannot achieve the same childish mind you once had and desire to still have. The goggles they wear aren't necessariliy based on drugs, but rather used as a shield to screen reality. Reality is depressing.

Didn't mean to stop at that... Anyway, "More" focuses on how depressing life is. You work a shitty job, and your only escape is to try to block or filter everything. Another element to the film is the idea of 'more'. More mass consumerism of products with the name 'happiness' etc. that people will buy because they believe they can solve their problems through purchasing a product. This product could be anything, and people will buy it to cover up their problems, or make their life seem better. In reality, this mass consumerism is only a cloak upon cloak of mental protection and security from the real world. The film im sure has a lot more ideas laced in it, but those are two that I was able to see right away.

i have seen more several times now, and it is possibly one of the best short films ever. signswas very good as well, i cant wait to see some responses out of this thread!

Validation was surprisingly really good. i saw it awhile ago and was impressed.

plus, the guy in it(TJ Thyne) is in Bones, which is one of the best shows on TV right now.

haha you just youtubed short films.. I know cause a week before this thread I did that too.. those two are alright but not that special.

The filming in dargeling limited (sp) blows my mind. If you get the dvd anytime watch how they filmed parts in the train its pretty cool.

i was saw the thread name and was all like :i am going to post more" but i open it and its the 1st post, just more proof that that film is awesome
