Just got it. Bought it off ebay. Everything was good. It should up on my mac and asked me if I wanted to set up a time machine. I selected yes? I thnk and told it to back up my entire computer. I left it while I went to class and it froze at like 2g's transfered. I had to restart and when I did it didnt show up. I tried it on my windows side and its not in "my computer" nor disk utilities on the mac side. It DID however recongnize that a "mass storage device had been connected." and "was ready to use" it still didn't show up in windows. My friend told me the guy that I bought it from must put them together and sell them because theres no brand and the box didnt come with an install disk or a manuel. I emailed the seller and told him but I was wondering if any of you computer wizzes could fix it.
THe HD is a Seagate, or a segate? SATA hd....PLEASE HELP!!!!
 
apparently you cant read..

if you have access to that windows computer again, try getting partitionmagic, or acronis disk director.. even if they're just trial versions. those have saved me numerous times when hard drives have gotten corrupted and unfindable.
 
haha out of all the people on NS I find it funny that you are the one that provides me with the only usable info so far hahha.
