Exporting to an external hard drive? 10/10 for help

hey so i have to go to school in an hour so it would be sick if i could do this before then. i got an iomega 1T external hard drive to hold my video for my collage editing class. it should be super easy but i want all of my itunes to be on there as well for class today so i can go through my songs and find a good one for an edit, but i can not figure out how to get everything from itunes onto the hard drive. in finder i can find my itunes but it drags into the hard drive as a 1mb folder. do i need to compress itunes or what?

btw both my laptop and the schools comp are macs.

try making a folder in the external drive called "Itunes Music" or whatever, and then in another finder window locate your music folder (usually music>itunes>itunes music) open that up and select all the artist folders and then drag them into to music folder on the external drive.

I have an IBM and for me there is an itunes folder in my my music folder and that folder is the one that holds all the music that is in your itunes account.

Basically you're just changing the location reference of your library then telling iTunes to copy all of your media to that folder on your external hard drive. That's the easiest way to do it.
