Exporting edits from final cut pro

I was wondering if some people could help shed some light on good techniques for exporting movies from Final Cut Pro.

Usually, ill make an edit and export it to .mov, open it up in quicktime and then export it again to .divx. (or do this within FCPs quicktime conversion)

Sometimes this works, and its a nice small file size, but the quality is not very good.

If i convert it to .avi the quality is good, but there file size is too big

I upload all my edits to youtube, so they can handle .avi .divx .mov and other common formats.

How do you guys export them? To what file type? etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Always just export to mov again it will look better. Play with the size and bit rate until you get what you want, either way you're uploading to youtube so its going to look shitty anyway.
