Well, since spetember 11th, bush has been getting his way, and attacking the afgan's to get a Mr. Osama Bin Laden, responsible for the terrorist attacks against the united states of america, on 9/11. Osama bin laden, funded and trained by the American CIA, along with his partners (most of which saudi arabian) flew 2 planes into the World Trade Centre. So since then, Bush has been attacking afghanistan, with much colateral (sp?) damage, still having trouble finding Osama Bin Laden. And now, they figure, HEY! maybe it was the saudi arabian government funding them! well lets see, how did they get this idea? while the saudi arabian prime ministers where meeting with bush, on of there employees met with a man indirectly involved with the terrorists, hmmmm... seems like a bit of a strange connection, i mean, an employee of the government meets with a man who is INDIRECTLY involved with the terrorists, but, hey, i guess that means that the prime ministers were in on this, and funded the whole damn thing, lets just go kill some more over there, i mean, thats what we'er here for, isnt it? Gotta keep the title as the most powerful nation in the world, but letting the others know that, hey, YOUR FUCT IF YOU MESS WITH US. Personally, i think this whole saudi arabia scam is just to take the heat off the states, because they know they trained bin laden, they know they gave him money so he could kill some russians, welll IT BACKFIRED, and no ones to blaim but yourself, you cant shift the heat onto some poor PM of a half ass country just cuz he knows someone who knows someone who's indirectly involved, it just doesnt work like that. It's nice that you feel you can do that though bush. So, i ask anyone here, to explain to me, why bush's presidency has revolved around war, jumping from place to place, trying to cover his ass, when he could save his shit loads of cash downing on weapons of mass destruction, and got your country out of det, better yet, get the people out of det, have you looked at the poverty rate lately bush? people have to work 2 jobs just so there kids can have proper school supplys, why not save your cash killing, and dump it down to help your own people. Your over there fighting for the people of IRAQ, why not help your own country, although, it seems you are trying too... i mean, your trying to get saddam to save the american lifestyle, lemme tell you, im not reallly afraid of saddam coming into my house at night and killing me, even if your not over there killing. AND over 50 american soldiers have been killed since you declared it MISSION COMPLETE, and Combat ended over there, so, if you completed your mision, and theres no more combat, why are people still diiing? i mean, please dont tell me its friendly fire, you've had enough troubles with that already. tooo some it up, i just dont understand how bush has everyone wrapped around his finger, waiting for his next move, and no body cares. i mean, think about this, he got 75 billion dollars for weapons from congress, do you not think that could've been better spent on the homeless, or sick kids with no healthcare? apparently not...

too support the statement that the election was fucked i bet most of you have never heard of this little incident. you know how there was a shitload of controversy about the election in the first place but especially in florida. all those recounts and shit down there. you know that citizens that fall under the category 'minority' were held back from the polls with force from local law enforcement under the order of various government agencies(they were never revealed but probabaly CIA or FBI) the government attempted to not allow these people to vote because they would vote against bush for sure cuz bush wasnt about to do shit for any of them during his presidency, if all those people had the chance to vote the outcome may have been different and gore might be president. bush is a selfish fuck and his whole presidency is feuled by emotion and spoon fed information from his 'advisors.' hes no doubt the worst president we have had in such a long time.

i think this country needs to remove the current voting system we have in place too and embrace the popular vote system. Gore had more people vote for him overall by several thousand people! now how is it fair that he isnt president. if more people vote for you you should be president regardless of where those voters live. its such bullshit, why wouldnt people vote for Gore anyays? clinton did such a great job as president and gore was part of his success. if gore was president this country would be a much different place and i think everybodys slice of happyness would be a little more filling. i wish i lived in fuckin canada. later...

sorry bout the double post but itsbackfliptime not all homeles people are homeless because they fucked up. some are born homeless, some people get laid off not because they are shitty workers but because their employers simply cant pay their saleries, and have nowhere to go. and the cause for many homeless people in major citys is this. during the vietnam war insane asylums were converted into hospitals for soldiers that came home and still needed tending to. where do you think all of the crazy people went when they switched their asylums into hospitals? the fuckin streets, thats where. sure some homeless people are homeless because they are crackheads and what not but think about the big picture before you make a blanket statement like that, once again no disrespect to you, just lettin you know. peace.

In my opinion, a president should be a role model and not someone you tell your kids NOT to be like. How can we have a president cheating on his wife and lying about it?

Also, as a tax paying american, i would LOVE to give less money to the government. Why should they get all of our money? We work hard for our money and why should we have to give it away to those who dont feel like working? Plus, if the rich pay the most money in taxes, wouldnt it make sense that they get hte most money back?

cowboy, fuck a donkey. I would gladly give 1/2 my paycheck to help a disable person live a reasonably normal and happy life. You look at the wrong side of the spectrum. The perfect capitalist sees that his taxes to to welfare, healthcare(in canada) and other organisations that are socialized. (I use Canada as an example because the US has barely any taxes compared to us). The thing is, if I hurt myself in Canada, I get a ride to the hospital (in an ambulence the bill works out to be arount 50$, the gov't pays about 500$) then I take up some bedspace in a hospital, get a specialist to examine me, get a cast or an operation and go home in about 2-3 days. In the states, the bill would be around 30, 000$. You are putting you own people homeless because of your privatized healthcare, and you are STILL complaining about taxes.

I dont think clinton was a good president but the economny was booming when he was in office. Now, some people will say that this is because of him. I dont really agree with that and i think that he just happend to be in office when the whole technology boom occurred. Either way, clinton COULD have lied abuot it and NEVER confessed. but, he didnt, so i have to commend him for that although it took WAY WAY WAY more than it should have for him to admit what he did. Anson, all i have to say to your canadian ass is, it would be VERY VERY interesting too see how quickly you'd give up '1/2 of your paycheck'. Do you have a job? Do you have a car? Do you pay for your car? are you 13?

Ok... do you not realize that in the states we have health care too that is privatized. Most of the times it comes through your place of employment, and that extends into workers extended families. You aren't soley footing the bill when we receive medical services in the states. Privitization has it's weak points, and so does socialized medicine. So quit saying what you have is better just because it appears yours is more convenient. Privatized medicine allows for more R&D in medicine, and a lot of the care in the states if first rate.

Homeless people: The majority of homeless people are drug addicts who have no ability to rehab themsevles successfully or have mental disorders such as schizophrenia. I'm sorry to say it, but these people have little chance of being helped strictly by dollars. If you can tell me how Canada has dealt with junkies and schizophrenics better than the U.S. has, I'll gladly listen.

Economy: A lot of the economic boom during Clinton's presidency revolved around false profits from businesses, and the raging dot com companies. They're failure to exist in the market has nothing to do with Bush. Clinton's 'good' economy, came from him being in office during the right time. The dot com bust and corruption of corporations led people to be weary of the stock market, and it's no easy task for a president to create individual trust among the average joe in privatized businesses to help the economy back on it's feet.

Clinton: If you want to look at this man's political career, it leaves a lot to be wondered about. If you look at opposition to his positions there are scandals and even mysterious deaths that occurred. There was even a story of the CIA approaching Clinton while he was golfing saying they knew where Osama was, and they could deal with him, but he waited to talk to them until he was done with his golf game. And I bet you forgot about Clinton's little bombing of Kosovo to take the heat off his scandal. Granted there was genocide going on, but if you go read history between those people and the Albanians, you'd realize how oppressed they had been for years.

and also, if i were in the states, would no way give half my pay check to a government that is all about war, see, canada has very low funds for war, high funding for homelessness, health care, and disability chekcs, maybe some of the reason your saying you hate the taxe's is because you have to pay for your health care, and that is understandable, but being a canadian citizen, i have no problem giving more to the government knowing if i fuck myself up, i dont have much to pay, if any, and that opur money isnt building bombs, its building lives up.. helping disabled families, sars survivers, people with sickness's, health care, homeless, welfare. etc. etc.

You will always have the homeless person who was born homeless and has no better life. But, the majority of homeless people are drug addicts, gamblers, etc. who are on the streets ebcause they weren't wise with their money. Second, you will always have the single mom whose husband up and leaves her and is in the situation you described. But, for the most part, if the chick wasnt dumb and got knocked up to some guy she doesnt even know she wouldnt be a single parent. Dont have kids if you cant afford them. Basically, what im trying to say is, you will always have circumstances will people get screwed. Even in canda, people will get screwed no matter how good the system is. That is life, not everyone is going to have as nice of a life as we do. How did this turn into a tax debate? haha

mills you are one ignorant bastard. if you owned a business, say even a landscaping business, where there is a wide range of people to choose to be employees. a hard working guy with a car and money in his pocket comes into your office, and a homeless guy comes into your office. which one are you gonna hire? people cant rely on homeless people to work for them because they dont have a mode of transportation other then walking and they smell, and they are most likely gonna be starving so their work quality is gonna be poor. doesnt anybody understand this concept? i cant think of a single job that a homeless person would even have the slightest chance of aquiring. they have it rough, and if its not their fault that they are homeless they deserve better because they are probabaly more moral then 99 percent of the united states population. so stop rippin on the homeless unless you have to fight every day of your life to survive. those that put down the homeless dont know how fuckin good you all have it and you should be ashamed of yourselves. im fuckin done.

I see where Mills is coming from though, they COULD have gotten a job when they were younger and not homeless. I understand that some, have been homeless their whole life. But, the majority of them become homeless later in there life. They could have easily gotten a job when they were younger.. Plus, how many homeless kids/families do you see? Hardly any? That's cuase most kids arent born homeless.

Hey, everyone deserves a second chance, thats what the bible says right? oh wait, we shouldnt mix religion with politics, should we? HOLD IT A MINUTE, what'd bush just do with gay marraiges, he said its not in the bible, so you lose. SO, pretty much, if bush is against it, he can use whatever sources (such as the bible) but you know, if in the bible it says that this should happ-en, he'll play the politics/religion card and weasel there way out of it. And i really dont care cowboy, just think if you were homeless, would you still be singin the same tune? i highly doubt it... Unfortunetly, we cant all be as perfect as you, we cant all have that car that's 300 a month, be wise with our money, some of us (I know this might come as a shock to you, so brace yourself, maybe sit down) MAKE MISTAKES. Forgive and forget.. if someone makes a mistake, i for one, think that they deserve a second chance, at least workfare, although i am for welfare over workfare, but that can at least get them a job.. but if we get into workfare, im gonna be having a whole different discussion about downsizing etc.. so lets not get into that.. just remember shit cowboy, dont take this all for granted, if something were to happen to you, you wouldnt be like this... and if you need any help getting your foot out of your mouth, just lemme know ;)

Oh man... when you guys get to college, I seriously recommend taking a sociology coures that focuses on sub standard living. I'm in engineering and I'm sure glad I took it as one of my electives.

I don't know who mentioned hard working mom with 2 jobs. Much respect to those women, and they deserve it. But do you realize in the inner city, that having babies as a teenager is actually something of status? They get to dress their kids up in 'cool' baby clothes, and they become the envy of their girlfriends. (If you've ever seen a young mother and their toddler has Jordan's on, you understand). A good portion of the time, girls get pregnant JUST so they can start getting a welfare check. The problem is w/ welfare is you're helping an exorbitant amount of people who are using it as a handout versus those who use it to subsidize themselves because they can't make it just on their own.

Nah, im not offended. The majority of people have opinions and no matter what anyone else says they wont change. I understand that completely. And, maybe i'm a heartless bastard, and if so, the sorry, but i dont feel like it is my responsibility to be paying for people's second chances.. and, i've had a job since i was legally allowed at 14 and have been working 40 hrs a week since then.. My parents spenc 0 dollars on my car, or my skis, or anything. i get food, some clothes, and a house to live in. that's about it.
