Feel like I mainly here good things about pros. Are there any assholes out there or are they mostly chill. any good or bad stories lets hear them. I would love to get to talk to Cody Townsend sometime

Lj is an absolute homie super cool guy too

Talked to Tanner Hall for a bit up at hood this summer, super chill tho fs. Did the biggest double take ever when I first saw him, he was shorter then I expected.

My guess is in a world as small as skiing people who are dicks or stand-offish dont succeed very easily because you are less likely to get coaches and sponsors who like you. Many also are young and can relate to many of us because they were once just like us not too long ago, relatively. It's also 'cool' to be 'chill' and not like a jock within our culture

I met Phil Casabon at Trenblant last spring brake He was a cool guy. my friend and I were going to take a photo with him but our phone died

in the summer of 2000ish i rode the Tbar on the Blackcomb Glacier with Seth Morrison. As I knew of his fanatical devotion to Raichle boots (a feeling i also shared), I knew I only had about 4 minutes to make my pitch. I told him he was the only one with enough pull to make someone keep producing that boot, as Raichle had called it quits and a short lived Kneissl revival had failed. I said "Seth you gotta make this happen". Somewhere down the road K2 [under the Full Tilt name} got the mold and started making boots. So you know ...you're welcome.

me and a friend met Ian King with Wabs and his friends on the beach at hood river on the Fourth of July, a few years ago. we had recently run out of rolling papers and were scoping the crowd there to see if there was anyone that might be able to help us out. We spotted those guys and rolled up and realized who we were talking too like midway through the interaction. Cool guy, he rolled us a nice j too :). Most ‘pro’ skiers are just regular people, and most regular people are nice folks.

Wait was he there the day we were there or did you go again?

Haven’t heard a single good thing about Simon dumont he’s apparently very very full of himself. I had a short conversation with hunter Hess about his vokls one time and didn’t relaize it was him till like two days after.

As a 6'4 human this is me whenever I meet pro skiers

His wikipedia page says he's 5'8". For some reason I imagined him to be taller

I rode up the lift with Tom Wallisch when I was patrolling at Mammoth. He was super nice and thanked me for doing my job.

I also got a cheer from Glen Plake while I was ripping under the chair - probably the highlight of my life. Then I got to ride up with him later that day and he was super humble for such a big name in the sport.

true, also I know I haven't always been the nicest dude to every single person I meet so I could understand it.

Also met [tag=30696]@LJ[/tag] And [tag=108284]@khai@krepela[/tag] at the steel city showdown they are super fucking chill. Even signed my skunk hat.

My 14 yr old sister laid out a monster backie on the second Park City jump and Tom was absolutely hyped. Love that guy.

At one of the Romance premiers Ethan Swadburg (who looked as high as I was) said he thought he knew me and I was disappointed to have to say no

I met Candide and his filmer Aziz in La Clusaz in high school after a 2 foot dump in April. Took the lift up with him and only realized halfway up. He and Aziz offered to take a few laps with me. Both of them were super chill, down to earth, and what was really cool was that they took the time to ask me about myself rather than talking about themselves or me asking a bunch of questions. 10/10

Met too many people to count at the Steel City Jam. All the pros pulled up to the tiny rope tow park on the 70 degree day and it was just vibes.

My old boss met Candide a few years ago and said he was quiet and seemed chill, I think. Boss said Candide skied insanely fast, and this is coming from a man who absolutely rips.

Lmao I think I remember you? Where you by the back?

Had the privilege of attending High North Ski Camp in 2000 when I was a kid and the coach lineup was JP, JF, Seth, McConkey, Shannon Schad, and Shane Szocs. All of them were the best group of coaches you could ask for. JP and JF had mullets all summer and convinced most of us at camp to follow suit and cut them also. McConkey took the time individually to teach me how to do a backflip. CR was also there as a guest pro and at the driving range hit one of the longest drives I've ever seen. It was an insane week to say the least.

Most of the pros that I have had the pleasure of meeting have been solid people. However there have been a few d-bags along the way. Lets just say that one pro in particular, I don't feel like naming him, called his TM on the chairlift with a chair full of skiers who hadn't made it like he had and complained over the phone about how he hadn't gotten his new skis yet and comp season was coming up. Coulda saved it for the top of the run instead making a chairlift call so the people sitting next to you knew that you were sponsed. If by chance he reads this and remembers me - that was lame, dude.

Oh and Candide does ski fast...really fast.

@that’s mf we need to know

Nah it was the Bozeman one. In Denver I was like mid-frontish right behind a bunch of really tall dudes...

Saw Max Hill outside a bar in Whistler when i was pretty blacked and yelled: "hey, i know you from somewhere!" directly in his face. He ran away real quick.

Sammy C once got into the same hot tub as me and we sat in silence because i was too scared to say anything.

My social skills are not good.

Was at Wisp one day when wallisch showed up. Didn't talk to him just watched him do a million tricks first try in a terrible park. My buddy was on the park crew and said he hung out with Tom for a while with the rest of the crew - very nice dude everyone thought.

I didn't get to talk to him, but a few years ago at Snoqualmie Pass, Hornbeck was shredding around in the park and he was super chill to everyone.

Also was doing the cleanest switch 7s I have ever seen in my life.
