Experience with Snoop Daddy vs Prophet 100? Please reply

Hey gents, I have a question. This year I was on Prophet 100s, I only get one pair of skis, that's it, so it was my only ski. It dominates everywhere on the mountain except for the "fun factor" - butters, occasional jibbing and park performance. They have a titanal insert, so I can understand why they don't flex a ton. I loved performance everywhere except the park. This year I am thinking about moving slightly slimmer with a little bit more forgiving flex. The Snoop Daddy from Atomic seems to be a good option being slightly skinnier and described as an all mountain with a tidge more flex. How do they compare to bridges? (i've had those too) Anyone who has ridden multiple or has insight on the Snoop Ds let me know. Thanks in advance.

do this.

my $0.02, as a p100 skier myself would be that i don't believe any ski from the daddy series is what you're looking for- they're atomic's directional all mtn series, as stated i'm not sure snoop daddy even has a twin, it certainly didn't used to. if you like the p100's all mtn ripping and want something that does the same but is also 'fun' in the park, there's no such thing. to rip as hard all over as the p100, a ski has to have a certain amount of beef, no getting around it. i personally quite like p100s in park as they are light for their size, but for a similar experience with a touch more 'fun factor' than maybe check out the new blend, its meant to be a pretty fun ski.

Yeah, I understand that I will be losing some all-mountain performance no matter what, since no ski outperforms the 100 everywhere. But the Snoop Daddy this year is a completely different ski and no longer resembles the old series. It is a full twin and got some decent reviews on many sites, so I was thinking about losing some performance for some pop and softness. Butttt, I want to know exactly how much I would be giving up. Obviously getting a noodle just for 10% of my riding would not be worth what I give up on the other 90% of skiing.

Thanks for the response bro. You are always helpful.

I don't have anything to add about the other skis, but just wanted to highlight this. The Prophet is an All-Mountain slayer. Nice to see people understand that they will be sacrificing something by skiing a different ski.

Seths are a bit wider than what I want, and I've thought about the Fujas. They are still a possibility, but I think they are hideous

older seths?

also the s5 or 6. i cant remember which one was the steeze and which one was the brigade. the one that was the brigade equivalent.

Actually, the S5 is not a bad idea. Similar in dimensions as the Prophet 100, but from what I've heard and noticed it is a bit softer and more flexy but is still not a rubber band.

strongly disagree. i was skiing the seths from 2 years ago everyday and ended up losing one. by that time i felt like i was in between sizes with seths- 179 too short, 189 too long so i moved over to the 186 p100 which i discovered outperforms the seth in every area, including i felt, the park. now i'm sure the newer, rockered seths are better than p100s in pow, but that isn't really what he's looking for is it?

s5/brigade could work well, hadn't thought of that. i'd say that or blends would be the shortlist of 2. maybe even add faction wednesdays to the list if you can get hold of them.

two best choices... s5 or new blend.

i own both, have skied both over 40 days and love each in different ways. my blends are my do everything ski, park, pipe, pow, trees, cliffs, i mean everything. they handle anything and everything with ease and really make me love skiing more than i ever have. i tout them more than any other ski, they're just so perfect.

my bc's are stiffer and ski bigger than they are, i find theyre better all mountain ski, and when i get into sketchier terrain, i find theyre more confidence inspiring. theyre stiffer than my blends, but still jibable. i skier them an entire season as my only ski and was quite happy with them. swing weight is low, thanks the rossi's wrs tech.

both are sidewalled skis, however the rossi's are 45 degree sidewall to keep weight down, they chip less, but i have bent and edge and cracked a portion of the top sheet. the sidewall, base, and edge are all atleast double the thickness of any other ski out there, they topsheets tend to peal easily, but i havent had any other problems.

something stiffer, s5s, something more fun and a bit different than your p100s, blends. you cant make a wrong choice either way tho

Thanks a bunch man, 10/10 for you. That was very helpful. I am leaning toward the blends, especially since they are so cheap right now.
