Expensive beanies

I was just reading another thread and was thinking: i wonder if $25-$30 beanies actually are worth it. I have always purchased my beanies at gas station or at random stores for around $5. i have had friends crochet me some too but i usually like the gas station ones more.
 
when i was in NZ on a kinda teen tour thing, some girls on my trip wanted a hat from NZ and decided to buy these, like, $30 dollar beenies from the shop at one of the mountains. They were dakine beenies, ones you can get in the states or basically anywhere dakine sells stuff... i mean there is nothing wrong with a cheap beenie if it looks good and keeps you warm

 
theres supreme beanies that go for like 50 60 dollars, but thats just hype for the company. Like paying $130 for a jiberish hoodie
