I think most people don't understand what evolution actually is; its not some sort of force that advances specific traits through generations, just because the animals want to pass them on, all it is is that those animals with more favorable traits survive longer and reproduce more frequently. It's actually probably the most simple scientific theory I've ever heard, it just gets a hell of a lot more complex when you get into more specific situations. I think homo sapiens have reached some sort of evolutionary milestone, because now anybody can survive to reproductive age and reproduce, due to modern technology, and the fact that more of the world resides in a post-scarcity society.
