Evogear coupon codes

Yo rosski423 -

You probably f'd it up by publically posting the code. I'm not familiar enough with their system or coupon code usage but I can tell you that the ski and snowboard industry as a whole is scared shitless over online retailers driving down the price of products making it so that all the little independent shops go out of business and ultimately brands going out of business too. K2 needs to make sure that all shops sell Hell Bents for MAP (minimum advertised price) and not 10% off that. If the real or "street" price that a shop has to sell every Hell Bent for is 10% less than MAP then the ski industry will disappear like the windsurf industry. How bad is it? Burton has set the bar pretty high and companies like K2 and Line and Armada and Volkl and everyone else who pays attention to Burton's lead are following suit. This winter Burton has demanded to their online dealers that not only can they not sell any of their product for less than MAP but they can't use coupon codes, live chat discounts, private message discount or anything. If you're lucky enough to have a coupon code that works I'd advise you not to repeat it publically.

Let me repeat. The industry wants to crack down on coupon codes. I just talked to two sales managers this morning about this and they confirmed what I was thinking. They want all coupon codes to stop being used and will have interns surfing the web looking for people talking about them. So the sure fire way to have a coupon code get removed from circulation is to publically post it.

Line skier

Uh no. I'm straight thank you and unfortunately it looks like you missed my entire point. You are right that I'm not going to do anything about coupon codes as I don't work for one of the major ski or snowboard companies or any retailer but I do have several decades of experience in this industry and work in a manner that I'm not at liberty to share publically. Companies like K2, Volkl, Line, Armada, Salomon and even small ones like Moment or Liberty or High Society or whatever the flavor of the month is are the ones who want to crack down on coupon codes. I'm trying to give you a piece of advice that either you didn't fully read or can't understand. Try this there lineskier. Post a coupon code for a pair of new Pollards from a specific online retailer and within 48 hours I bet you won't be able to use that code and the online retailer will receive a warning from Line.

I'm completely with you.

Lineskier: Work for what you want, don't try to be a dirtbag, cheapskate, or whatever other non-vulgar terms there are out there because you will ultimately look like a giant douche...case in point a couple posts above.

Thanks sir fryanator. This isn't my first rodeo in this industry and I can tell you that internet shopping and online discounts are a huge hot button right now. The ski and snowboard industry has several trade organizations that represent different factions in the industry. One is called NSSRA (National Ski and Snowboard Retailers Association) and their president sent out an email this summer showing its members how fast the shift is happening to buying online and how their profits are being driven down when they have to price match an online retailer with a coupon code. Manufacturers are taking notice. They want a level playing field between online retailers and brick and mortar so they are going to start cracking down on the codes. That's my whole point.

^I StumbleUponed that site about a week ago, looked around and it looked pretty damn sick, but I didnt know anyone who had used it before. Good to hear its legit.

well before you get off saying this i work 2 jobs very fucking hard to get what i want but i just got in a accident and the way it works in kentucky is that there is no driver at fault you pay for your own damages however the other guy was to blame....case in point- i havd to pay to get my car fixed taking some of the money afer paying my other expenses.. its just like codes from porterstahoe like bacon that make you happy sometimes sorry for coming off as a "duesche" and i can gaurentee industry insider that not all newschoolers discounts will be discontinued bc of the huge part we play

but thanks

Alright well that changes things. But if you want a discount you should ask the company yourself. I mean, do you really need new skis? I dunno, the car takes priority over the skis if you drive to the mountain. and no, not all NS discounts will go away but the industry people do get pissed at the skiers who drop the code publicly on a place where there are 120,000 potential customers who would have bought it at full price if not for the code.

Everyone tries to get out of paying retail. Evo helps those people out by providing already low prices. If you really need some help then hit me up I can maybe get you an even better deal.

well i just sold sold my skis for 260 and thats the money i have i was going to get new 09 chronics(before the accident) but then one that happened i was gonna go for the 270$ (with discount) 09 invaders but the discount is gone and its understandable but it was helpful

the coupon would still be intact of people used the SEARCH BAR. honestly, its not hard to find the thread called COUPON CODES which has all of them in it.
