Everything is an “idea”. Like why is our world run by money. Why does an imaginary number determine if you will live in a house or on the streets. Why do words determine power. Why aren’t garbage truck drivers ruling the world? If you work for the government you have more power than someone who doesn’t, but why? Because our society says so? Also wtf is time. Time is another idea made to have some sort of order. But what if we didn’t have 12am-12am. We would just live. And time zones, what’s up with that. Everywhere is the same time just different lighting and weather. I wish I was a bird. Birds are so free. They can go anywhere. Build any house they want. Big, small, high up, in a gutter, in a tree. They just wake up, fly around, get some food when hungry, go home, and live. Good fucking times. Birds are cool.
 
If i had a child who had cancer i would pay the ppl who build the mri machine that finds the cancer and the surgeon who removes the cancer more money (happily) for saving my kids life than i would pay for a stick of bubblegum on the street. Just saying.

if you dont want to thank the rich ppl who changed the world from state it was in the middle ages to the world that exists in 2021 then God help you.

If you dont love technology theres something wrong with you.

I wasn’t trying to say that us evolving is bad. I would much rather live in 2021 than in the 1950’s. I just find it strange how our society basically decides what has value and what doesnt. And how our society puts more value on certain things than other countries. Why is that? It would make sense for everywhere to have the same things with value. Also Technology is the shit, why is an iPhone $1000

um time isn't just an idea, even if there's no one around, time still passes. there are quantum particles of time. they are like photons but for time, they are called seconds.

Too many questions for one day but money creates too many problems imo ,there should be a global barter system.

Value is based on scarcity and usefulness. If only one guy on the planet can find the cure for cancer then he is incredibly valuable to humanity and should be paid 1 trillion dollars for his contribution to the wellbeing of humanity.

ppl vote with their dollars. A fedex driver needs to deliver the cancer meds to the patient so in a sense he should be just as valuable as the doctor with the cure except theres only one doctor on the planet who can find the cure and theres 2 billion humans who can deliver the package. If one fedex driver wants to be paid the same amount as the doctor who found the cure then some other fedex driver will say he will do it for less and then another one will and so on.

eventually competition will drive labor costs down until ppl are paid what they deserve.

nothing is free, unfortunately, no matter how much AOCs 75 iq thinks money grows on trees.

Certain things have higher values than other things relative to the benefit it provides to X (the price is also determined in relation to the value of multiple or (maybe) all other commodities)

Everything is related, from gold to stocks to crypto to the USD. This system did not come from nothing. It is a natural evolution from when we used to trade 3 rocks for a spear. And the system we have now is also a lot more efficient than people think. However there is as with everything, lots of room for improvement.

You should read some books instead of smoking weed, welcome to the global economy.

Plato already worked that problem out. What op is describing comes close to his idea that we only see and understand the « form » of something.
