Ever been sued?

Long story short, I'm sitting in the office when my boss walks in the room to vent about an issue. Apparently one of his renters is suing him. The story gets better... They guy apparently slipped on some ice, fell and broke his arm.

Somehow and I'm not sure how, it's my bosses fault.

The plot thickens... Said boss, received another notice that he's being sued for "Loss of consortium" by the renters wife.

Let me save you a google search. "Loss of Consortium- The deprivations identified include the economic contributions of the injured spouse to the household, care and affection, and sex."

THE WIFE IS SUING MY BOSS BECAUSE HER HUSBAND CANT BANG HER!!!

What in the world? NS's let me ask you this... Have you ever heard of something this outlandish? If your arm is broken are you on the 90 day no pussy list? How horny does she have to be that she thinks to sue over not having her "needs" attended to?

I love my virginity a 3 days after breaking my arm in a full arm cast. Sooooo....I think they can make do.

Sounds like theyre just scumbags trying to scam as much money as possible out of your boss

This. My boss gets sued constantly for people falling in our parking lot. They almost always get thrown out since it isn't his responsibility to salt/plow the area.

if its in the lease stating its not his responsibility..

otherwise i feel like it would be.. I know some states have a law for businesses that if it snows a certain amount (1 inch, or 2 inches, i dont remember), they are required to have their parking lots plowed, sidewalks iced, etc.. maybe its different because he's renting residences out..

I have been sued twice, one is still in the process. both are just people trying to get more money while making up bullshit medical problems.

We share a parking lot with 2 hotels, so we technically don't own any parking lot. All we are responsible for is the sidewalk.

If your boss, as the landlord, is responsible for the snow removal, then yes he can be sued. The ice is his problem.

As for the wife, I don't think she has much of a case.

Allow me to clarify: Ice from the freezer. That he dropped on the non-slip floor.

if the ice on sidewalks is his problem, then yea someone can file a lawsuit, but if your boss has the paper and receipts showing salt purchases, etc.. and records of billable hours of a maintenance or groundskeeper guy that is responsible for salting sidewalks.. then i'm sure he will have an "easy" time with the lawsuit..

and you could even argue if the guy even has any proof of the location that he slipped and fell on..

Idk what to say...... thats unbelievable. id evict that scamming piece of shit, then bang his wife

It sounds like it was up your boss to maintain the property that he rents (i.e snow and ice removal)and failed to do so. The man definitely has a claim. As for the wife, she is probably not suing about sex, but rather her husbands inability to work and provide "economic contributions" and therefore they can not maintain their lifestyle/pay bills etc. This particular case sounds pretty standard to me, but they could also just be dirt bags trying to get hand outs; who knows.

Wait he put the ice there and then slipped on it? That sounds more like he is incompetent than anything. If people are allowed to sue because they are this incompetent the world is doomed...

Well, it sounds like two possible things are at work here. They are either trying to scam your boss out of money, or the guy is accident prone and a wussy. I mean if a broken arm stops someone from being able to please their wife chances are they weren't all that into pleasing their wife to begin with.

That's ridiculous. Ice from a freezer that he dropped. Right away I'd sue him back for any and all legal expenses and lost time due to a frivolous lawsuit. It would probably scare him enough to drop the suit.

If he just sent a notice of intent to sue he probably just hoping your boss is willing to pay him to stay out of court. Its pretty easy and inexpensive to threaten to sue someone. I did it to an insurance contractor some years ago after he fraudulently billed me and my insurance company for work that he didn't do and hoped no one would notice.

When I was 6 I was in the car with my mom and she was backing out of a parking space and barely tapped the bumper of a woman she didn't see. My mom approached the car and this fatass woman just said call 911 I can't feel my body.

One of the things this woman sued my mom for was her husband leaving her because she couldn't have sex with him. My dad still says to this day "no your husband left you because you're a fatass bitch."

Luckily she didnt win a dime but it was still a pain for my parents. The lawsuit lasted for years, causing my parents to pay lawyer fees that whole time and we moved from NY to PA during the law suit so that caused a pain of traveling for trials.

Sue happy people are the worst. Such drains on society.

If you can find pics of the people that are suing your boss that would be great. I would assume they look like this.

No promise, but I'll do my best to find a pic. I'd venture to guess you're not far off with your guess.

They sound like shitty people. My dad was a politician for awhile and he was always getting sued. The most notable was a mega church sued him cuz he wouldn't let them build a 20'000 square foot church in the middle of protected open space. Needless to say, they lost. There have also been several death threats against him and me and my sister.
