Europe summer glacier skiing

so me and a few buddies across Canada are missing the peak time to ride our usual whistler glacier as we are all booked with plans until mid-end of july, (where north american summer skiing basically goes to shit). So basically to get the good conditions we're forced to go to europe, now at first we were thinking fonna glacier in norway, where the summer season goes up until september, but my buddy is worried about conditions going bad mid august, anyone have any info on this and/or european skiing in general???

i wouldn't go to fonna, mainly because norway is the most expensive country in the entire world (literally) and you will spend far more money than you'd like, especially given how terrible the canadian dollar is right now. I also dont think its that big or the park that great

i also don't know why you haven't considered NZ, since its closer to van, and its real winter, and its cheaper than anywhere in europe in the summer... but okay

here's a quick breakdown. Where you ski in summer in europe depends on when you go:

- june - is terrible time to go, basically only hintertux is open, and even then their park at that time is terrible

- july/august - france or switzerland - Sass fee and les deux alpes both open mid july. Parks are both very good (for europe, don't expect whis quality parks, but they're pretty good). Those would be your main two choices

- mid september the austrian resorts start opening. Stubai is where you want to be, others have smaller parks, but stubai is the best

best of luck
