Euro ski scene

i was gonna post this in the UK regional forum but it's pretty sad there. and why? is my question. what's the newschool scene out in Europe like? i mean is it like how it was in North America 3 or 4 years back? and why does Europe lag behind so much?

secondly, what's up with monoboarding? I mean why aren't there any monoboarders here and is there a such thing as a new school of monoboarding?

Europe is DEFINITELY not 3-4 yrs behind N. America. Skiing is life over in parts of Europe, there arent as many standouts but they definitely have some big talent: Candide, Mike D., Julien, Jon, among others.

i live in France and there is a lot of very good skiers here that you will never see in North america, 'cause it's very difficult here to be qualified for X games or US open 'cause thes competitions are for americans...

but i can tell u we have a lot of great skiers here

yeah heaps of aussies go to europe for the winter, so we get heaps of the euros in our mags and they rip hard.

im from sweden and i can say that europe is kinda retard when it comes to newschool skiing/jibbing like the guys in the skishops want to sell you like 160 when you are tall theyre gay

Download Solid powder if you want to see euro skiing.. well, the skiers in solid powder are mostly finnish but you'll see that euro scene isn't definately far behind usa or canada

solidpowder is definately a showcase of newschool skiing outside N.A. scene, plus australia is in it so it rocks.

I think the reason why the US is ahead in Newschool Skiing has to do with the fact that in Europe, generally speaking, the alternative to hanging out in parks is just too tempting. I.E. the Big Mountain.

i live in Germany i would definatly say that the scene over here is not behind that of the states...just because stuff from over there gets showcased more doesn't mean it doesn't happen over here. Last year it was a bit behind, but now when you go out on the hill you see so many people throwing down.

lets face it NA sets the trends on whats hip or cool then the trends come to sweden/europe like 4 years after the only place in sweden that follows the ns trend is are..

maybe because jon comes from are i dunno
