Post whatever predictions, highlights, whatever you like regarding these two tournaments.

My prediction for the Euro Groups are

Group A- France- 1, Switzerland- 2

Group B- England- 1, Russia- 2 (could be a super interesting group seeing as England always choke, Russia is unpredictable, and see if Wale's Bale can muster up some magic)

Group C- Germany- 1, Poland- 2

Group D- Spain- 1, Croatia-2

Group E- Belgium- 1, Ireland-2 (fuck Italy and really hoping Ireland shows well and gets lucky)

Group F- Portugal-1, Iceland-2 (Iceland looked pretty good in qualifiers so I wouldn't be surprised if they get the 2 spot)

Really happy there are 24 teams now. Crazy that the Dutch couldn't qualify. Hope France wins it all and it seems they have a very legitimate chance to do so even with the injuries.

Copa Predictions

Group A- Columbia-1, Costa Rica- 2 (I hate the US's team and style of play so much, really hope they don't get through)

Group B- Brazil-1, Ecuador-2

Group C- Uruguay-1, Mexico-2 (although I know everyone hates Suarez I hope he is healthy enough to play, would be a shame to have someone of his caliber miss out)

Group D- Argentina- 1, Chile-2

Seeing as USA is hosting I hope to make one game. Columbia to win it all since I refuse to allow myself to pick Argentina or Brazil. Columbia was extremely entertaining at the last WC so I hope they keep it up again.

Hopefully a few other people on here will make it to a Copa or Euro game

Hey, these aren't club teams that you you can pick and choose to support. You unconditionally support your countries national team regardless of style of play or skill level, ya Benedict Arnold.

I'm not crying just laughing.

The US consistently has the ugliest wins. Bad to watch, but the consistency is impressive. Very unique style of play.

Crazy goal for Modric even though the keeper could have done better

Hoping for an Ireland win tomorrow for the ancestors/relatives

Fuck ya for Iceland. The stat on how 8% of their countries population was supposedly in that stadium is insane

Mad props to Iceland, what they did was insane

Chile won the last Copa America, I hope that they start taking this cup seriously...

It's just so easy to hate Ronaldo. The way he stands over free kicks you just want him to miss because he looks like such a douche.

Ronaldo hits post on the PK, then offside on that goal. If Iceland advance and somehow Portugal don't... it would be incredible.

Holy shit Mexico got demolished. Probably the most hyped game so far and Mexico just didn't show up

For sure I was not expecting that, chile really impressed me though

Told you Chile was going to take off on the playoffs

ARG vs CHL will be the final, and Chile is going to be the back to back winner.

Honestly happy with the semifinal appearance.....it'll be hard without Jermaine and Bedoya to slow down Argentina, but at least we won't lose 7-0. Held Ronaldo and Co. to an undeserved draw 2 years ago, we can do it again.

You're awfully confident considering Argentina have scored 14 goals in the 4 games they've played and allowed 2 without ever really looking like they've gotten out of first gear, and are led by a bearded Lionel Messi who has 4 goals, and, if I remember correctly, 3 assists without even playing in the first game at all, only 30 minutes in the second, the second half of the third, and finally the full 90 in the fourth, and who definitely hasn't gotten out of first gear yet. Not to mention that the game Messi played none of was the one where Argentina beat Chile in a 2-1 scoreline that flattered Chile. And that Chile have to play Colombia in their semi-final, which, despite my love and eternal support for them, is a much tougher matchup on paper than Argentina have playing the good 'ol USA.

But hey, maybe you're right, and Chile are going to burn through everyone. I hope you aren't because people who literally say "I told you so" tend to be the worst and deserve to have the glee they parade in front of others shoved back in their face the way Jared from subway deserves to get raped by big black dick in prison for molesting small children, but I guess we'll see.

And who knows, maybe a certain Clint Dempsey will even have something to say about it.

Dude, don`t know If you are really into soccer that much, but Messi has never done anything for his national team. Everybody knows that Messi only sweats the Barça jersey, watch the last World cup, or the last Copa de America, he was absent for most of the matches, he only scored 4 times on the last world cup and they lost the final of the last Copa de America to Chile.

I`m from Chile and at the beginning of this tournament I wasn't sure about the performance of the chilean team because there is a new coach and a new director of the soccer association in Chile. But after yesterday's match, I believe we could actually make it to the finals and be the toughest rival Argentina could have in this tournament, even after they beat us in the group stage.

The only long shot on my last post was Chile being the Champion , in online betting websites Argentina is paying around 1,6, Chile is paying around 4,2, Colombia is at 6 and EEUU is at 10.

But, just in case you aren't...

To say Messi "only" scored 4 goals in the World Cup is stupid. If I remember correctly, James won the golden boot (top scorer of the tournament) with 5 goals. To say that he's never done anything for his national team, despite getting to multiple major tournament finals, despite being tied as their all time top scorer, is fucking asinine. The whole "Messi doesn't play well for Argentina" thing stopped being true 4 or 5 years ago. If you still honestly think Messi does nothing for Argentina, you're either dumb as a rock, or just don't watch/understand soccer. How obviously better Argentina have been with Messi on the field vs. not on the field in this tournament should be proof enough of Messi's value to his national team. If you can't see that, then, again, you just don't understand much about soccer.

Did I say Chile can't make it to the final? Of course they can, they're a great team. But they don't have Vidal against Colombia, which doesn't help, as he's the guy that makes this team go, and to act like they're just going to raze every team to the ground from here on out because Mexico was horrible and got their tactics wrong is stupid. Obviously they also played really well against Mexico, but Mexico were a shitshow, too. And shoving it in people's faces, acting like you're some soccer genius because you said the defending champions of the Copa from a year ago are still good, is obnoxious as hell.

Are the swiss jerseys like fragile or something? And they broke the ball too.

Played the French to a standstill though - wasn't expecting that. Go CH!

Looking like it's gonna be Germany and Argentina...again. meh, hope England or France can figure it out

Spain are the current betting favorites I believe.

Deschamps needs to quit fucking with the lineup. I don't know if he was trying to keep everyone rested or test out new stuff but I hate the constant lineup shuffling going on. Also annoyed that amidst all his shuffling he never tried Griezman up top with Payet/Coman/Martial on the wings

As for the Copa I hope the winner of Chile/Colombia takes it all. I think Colombia will win that semi but who knows should be a good game

So now what is your opinion about what happened??? Even Messi thinks he does shit for his team....

He fucked up and missed a penalty kick. Anyone who has followed Messi's career knows that penalties are, and always have been, by far the weakest part of his game. Why he kicked first over Mascherano and Aguero I'll never understand. But if you watched the same game I did, I'm sure you noticed that most of Argentina's good chances came from something Messi did. Was it his best game ever? Obviously not, but it wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination.

If your argument really is that being his country's all time leading scorer, scoring 4 goals at the world cup, and scoring 5 goals with 4 assists as this Copa America counts as playing like shit and being useless to the team, then I don't think trying to have any kind of intelligent conversation with you is going to go anywhere.

Forza italia!.

Buffon truly is the greatest keeper of all time.

Fact is, Chile won again and Argentina lost their 4th final consecutively, even with Messi, Di maria and Aguero playing on the field. Unfortunately all the scores you are talking about are not going to mean anything in the future. Messi is going to be remembered as the Barças wonder kid until they actually win something, or at least until some other wonder kid appears...

You probably don't know how people feel about their national teams down here in South America.

Maradona himself told the players that if they don`t win the tournament they shouldn`t be returning to Argentina....and you still think people care about how many scores and assist a player could do.

Knew England were choke artists but damn. Props again to Iceland. From never having qualified for a minor tournament to making the quarter finals.

Happy Chile won and obviously Messi messed up in a crucial moment but damn you would think he threw the game the way everyone reacts
