Equipment using batteries - mixed battery types, or standardize to 1 type?

This is probably more of a general backpacking/camping question, but it applies to AT. I just picked up a new beacon (Pieps Powder BT) and it runs on AAA batteries. For AT hut trips (and pretty much any time I'm outdoors for any extended period), I'm always carrying a headlamp. My existing headlamp uses AA batteries.

Anytime resupply isn't possible, I carry 1 set of spare batteries for devices, so in my current situation, I will need a set of AA and a set of AAA in my pack. So I'm wondering if it would be wise for me to pick up a AAA headlamp and just carry 1 set of spare AAA batteries, or am I overthinking this since lithium AA or AAA batteries weigh very little?

Thanks!

On the one hand it is kinda nice because you will never be tempted to put your fresh beacon batteries in your lamp

That's ^^^ a really good point. I sure someone has or if I was super late getting out and my lamp died on me I'd be tempted to swap.

I do rock the same batteries for all my gear (lamp, beacon, and GPS) especially in my summer job.

And really carrying extra batteries of two sizes won't be heavy at all. its like a couple ounces more.
