Kinda been thinking about it as it relates to construction and engineering.
You can't reasonably get pregnant as a tradesman, so most of the women I saw working in industry were admins. Admins play a super critical role to the project, but are some of the lowest paid and most disrespected employees on the job, especially when compared to a Purchaser or Assistant PM, who are more or less serving similar functions.

My wife works in IT on a team of all men except her manager is a woman. I’d say she faces casual sexism from men pretty regularly, nothing that is egregious enough to call out but just the oh you know Tom he’s just an idiot type of remarks. It’s rare that a man is up to some truly diabolical discrimination, for that you need a woman.
